Hello everyone um, I thought I should write a walkthrough not because everyone else is doing it but, for my own reasons. I worked really hard on this and it is in my own words all of it. I had some help on this because it was needed, and I wanted help. I wanted my first walkthrough to come out great. There are a lot of details here, and I thought maybe some of my explaining might not be clear enough. So I set up some links to help out. I hope you like what you see here, as this is my fav game that I love to play. And had played for many years. ^-^

*My FFX Walkthrough Challenge wise*

*Celestial Weapons*

Tidus: Calabolg can be found in the calm lands. Go northern, and use the map to help you to get to that direction. Once you get there you should see a slope, go down there and use the celestial mirror to obtain it. But, be careful a man will not let you pass. To get him to move, you will have to face the chocobo trainer.

Sun Crest: Sun crest is found in zanarkand, the place where you battled with yunalesca. It’s in a treasure chest.

Sun Singil: This one is long mind you. It is the chocobo sidequest that you will have to do to get it. Do the sidequest it will start with:
Wobbly chocobo
Dodger chocobo
Hyper chocobo
Catcher chocobo
^ This one is where you will get the sun singil for tidus. You will need to make sure, that you don't get hit by birds, blizballs and more that comes your way. Get as many as balloons as you can. The score you will need to get is 0.0, if you get that the sun singil will be yours.

Yuna: To get Nirvana you will have to do the monster arena sidequest. Capture all of the fiends in the calm lands to obtain it.

Moon Crest: It’s on besaid beach, in a treasure chest.

Moon Singil: You will have to go to the remiem temple to get it. There you will meet belgemine again. You will go into battle to defeat her aeons. Prizes will be given to you, for each one you defeat.

Auron: Masamune is a bit tricky to get. You will first need to find a rusty sword. It’s near cavern of the lost faith, not inside it opposite to that direction. To get the sword go back to mushroom rock, where the battle with sin took place. There will be another way to a secret road, near the save point. Go down then climb onto some boxes to get onto that road. Once you have done that look for some kind of lift, to transport you up. Walk on from there, you should see a statue of a solder. Mars Crest: Remember where you battled the chocobo eater? Depending on how strong your characters were, the less strong will get pushed down a cliff. And there you will see a treasure chest containing mars crest in it.

Mars Singil: It is part of the monster arena sidequest as well. To get it you will have to capture 1 of every fiend in the 10 areas.

Wakka: To get world champion, it is found where in luca cafe. Its where you first faced biran and yenke but, to get it the bartender will only give it to you, if you have played enough blizball games.

Jupiter Crest: It can be found in luca in the locker room. Look inside the lockers to find it.

Jupiter Singil: You will have to do the blizball sidequest to obtain it.

Lulu: Onion knight can be found in the underwater at baaj temple but, it’s outside and not inside. Look carefully as it is a bit tricky to find.

Venus Crest: That can be found in the farplane. Look around for a treasure chest, and it will be in there.

Venus Singil: Ok....anyone of us that has played FFX for years knows that this is very hard, and I mean hard to do. You will need to dodge 200 lightning bolts in the thunder plains to get it.

I can tell you some tips that might help you to get the venus singil. I found this out by myself and not look this up online. First of all you will need someone in the party to have *No Encounter Armor* that will help you stop and battles that normally come up. Then what you should do next is find a nice long road in the thunder plains. Make sure it’s near a save point, all will be explained why for that. When you have placed tidus how you want him to, try to dodge a few lightning bolts. Btw if you do get hit sometimes before you are ready, always go back and save. Stay under a lightning rod tower until you are ready to dodge. To dodge tap the x button. When you feel more confident you can dodge up to 5 or more at a time. When you dodge lightning’s you would, or should feel that rhythm. Then you would know when the net few will come. Once you have dodged like 5 or more walk back and forth carefully. Or the lightning will slow down. If you do get hit before you save go to the al bhed shop. to know what prize you got, and it will say how many lightning’s you have dodged as well. People have their own way of doing things I counted how many I dodged, while some don't. Ok back to the subject, claim your prize and *SAVE* it is very important you do that. If you dodge without saving the treasure chest containing the prizes, will not show. And all of your time you  had spent on that, would be a waste of time. It is very important you know this tip, as many players missed it and then gave up on it. Once you know what you are doing, everything will be easy for you.

Rikku: Godhand is found in mushroom rock. But, you will need the airship for that, and a special password to enter a secret place at mushroom rock.

Mercury Crest: It is in a treasure chest at Bikanel Island, in one of the whirlpools.

Mercury Singil: You will need to complete the cactuar village sidequest to obtain it. Complete what you are told to do for that sidequest and it will be yours.

Kimahri: To get spirit lance you will need to light up 3 cactuar stones, which is in the thunder plains. Once you have done that find a fallen rod tower take a look at it, and you should be able yo obtain it.

Saturn Crest: It is where you fought Seymour flux, at mount gagazet. Before you enter into the mount gagazet cave that goes to zanerkand, it is in between some pillars.

Saturn Singil: You will have to do the butterfly sidequest game, which is in macalania. To get this you will have to play 2 games to complete the whole thing. If you are doing it for the first time then it will annoy you for a few times, before you get it right. You have to collect 7 blue butterflies tap x when you touch it, and a treasure will fall. Be careful not to touch the red butterflies as they will summon fiends and lessen you time as well. Those are the bad ones you have liked up to 20-30 seconds to get the blue butterflies, and to complete the game. If you don’t get them by the time those seconds are up. Then you will have to try again but, when you do get the 7th butterfly tap x and stop moving.

That is the celestial weapon section done.

*How To Get The Cloudy Mirror And Transform It Into Celestial Mirror*

It is in the other chocobo race that holds, where the remiem temple is. Ride on the chocobo to the right side, so that you can race the champ chocobo. Win the race to be able to get the cloudy mirror. Or if you are really good get the treasure chests if you want, to get more prizes. Which are:
Potion for getting 0 chest
Elixir for getting 1 chest
Mega elixir for getting 2 chests
Wings to discovery x 30 for getting 3 chests
Pendulum x 30 for getting 4 chests
Three stars for getting 5 chests

Now you have the cloudy mirror take a trip back to macalania woods, and there you will see a woman with her son. She will say her husband got lost. Where the woman and her son is go east, check in some areas to find a man, and talk to him. Tidus will say his family is waiting for him, go back to where the woman and her son was, standing. The husband is with the woman but, they will say their son has gone missing. You see a shiny glittery road near the save point? Take that road which will lead you to where the boy is. Mind you another woman will block that path. To move her keep talking to the parents, until they mention their son has gone missing. Find the son by taking the shiny glittery road again, until you find him. The parents will come to take him away go to where the boy was standing and use the cloudy mirror, to transform into the celestial mirror.

*Monster Arena*

You will need special weapons to capture the fiends, buy it from the man who will send you to capture them. If you don’t understand how, look up the sidequest. Every capture that you meet on time for you will get prizes for capturing fiends in one area. Like the calm lands for instance, do more and greater prizes will come to you.

*Armor Equip For Hp Break Limit*

It’s either the easy way or the long way for this, or the long way. If you have done the monster arena sidequest, and have unlocked every fiend there fight nemesis. He can drop the armor after every battle. But, knowing how long his life is it will be a long, long battle. You can use yojimbo to kill him but, yojimbo can be annoying sometimes to use. Even if you have used him a lot of battles, zanmato won’t come as you will expect it too. So the long way is much easier to do, well for me that is. What I did was get a lot of *Wings to discovery* which is the item to create hp break limit. You can get it at remiem temple from the chocobo race or….. If you have unlocked more fiends in the monster arena fight shinryu. He will drop 2 at a time when you always beat him, and you will have up to 99 in no time. But, when you use some to equip you will lose 30 at a time. I thought I should point that out.

*How To Get More Gil*

Ok we know it is not so easy to get the gil that, we need. So the best way to do this is, fight a lot of battles to get new equipment to sell. And to add to that effect on the sphere grid, unlock nab gil. When you use it during your battle times, you will get that little extra gil after the battle. Or if you still need more use auron only to attack because of his pierce hits he will get you between this much 1000-2000 gil.

*Dark aeons*

Dark aeons are extremely strong don’t battle them not unless you are ready. Or knowing what you are doing. Always summon an aeon for sacrifice, for these creatures are ruthless. You can only get them if you have the international version of ffx. First off is:

Dark Valefore: He is extremely fast so….I used yoijmbo on him. Because I didn’t use the tactics I used on the other dark aeons. Now I think about it I feel sad that, I wasn’t able to beat him with my party. He can be found on Besaid Island.

Dark Infrit: He can be found in Bikanel Island where home was blown up. I used my party as planned, with all of them equipped with auto-haste. It made things easier all I did was attack him at times. Btw all the dark aeons are high on agility and evasion.  When someone dies use phoenix down then use wakkas overdrive attack reels as many times as you can, because it does real damage.  The battle shouldn’t take long in no time he should be dead. Oh when it comes to dark infrits turn summon an aeon for sacrifice. But, that’s only if his overdrive gauge is full. I also forgot to say he counter-attacks back as well, with every hit you give to him.

Dark Ixion: He can be found in the thunder plains. This is my favorite battle because of the music, that’s why. As always make sure you have auto-haste for dark aeon battles. You will have to face dark ixion 2 times. Don’t use wakkas overdrives for this battles use quick attack. If you use the OD dark ixion will use thunderja. Btw dark ixion counter attacks make sure you defeat him before his OD gauge gets full. When the first battle is done, the first summoner will die the kid you see with that summoner disappears, save first then find ixion with the kid. Thunderja is not very polite to see it’s not even real thunder.

Dark Shiva: She can be found at macalania temple, she is a real pain to deal with. You will need auto- haste for this battle, as she is very quick to dodge attacks. Use quick attacks on her, as her defenses are quite low which will give your party an advantage, over that. The battle shouldn’t take that long use overdrives such as attack reels, slice and dice, bliz ace and more. Those can kill her fast once she hits use phoenix down. By the time her overdrive fills up get yuna out to sacrifice and aeon. The first 3-4 hits should only be her normal attack and heavenly strike. Always make sure you look at her overdrive after every hit. Her overdrive fills up very quickly and is not an ice attack test out your shiva to see but, she will die anyway. Dark aeons are very powerful make sure you are well prepared once you try to battle them.

Dark Bahumut: I wasn’t able to defeat him with my party. I tried up to 6 times or more he is incredibly fast, has high agility and evasion. Any attacks you try he will dodge them all. I suggest you use yojimbo to beat him. As I had no choice but, to use him if you do want to use your party here is my advice. Use rikkus OD mix to create hyper mighty G, and make that is light curtain, underdog secret, gamblers spirit, pendulum, chocobo wing lunar curtain and door to tomorrow. Use any of these items to make that. Oh here are some other tips too. When dark bahumut use impulse he will also inflict you with full break. To stop your party from dying use dispel on them to take of the break. And will also infilct you with petrify so watch out.

Dark Anima: I thought she would be easy to beat but, I was wrong…..if you are going to use your party be, well prepared as this will take hours to do. Or if you want the battle to end quickly use yojimbo. I have never faced any dark aeons beyond dark bahumut. Actually, when I got to dark bahumut I gave up. So I wasn’t sure how to start things off. So I started with the usual OD and quick attacks to know what kind of horror attacks, I was in store for. Well I was pretty shocked to see dark animas agility and evasion, was at top notch. I didn’t care I kept attacking knowing I would get a hit on her soon. I also used aeons for sacrifice. Once they were all used up except for yojimbo I brought out yuna to use auto-life but, that wasn’t enough to keep my team alive. So I used rikkus mix which was hyper mighty G and final elixir. Use them they are your best friend, why do I say that? Because hyper mighty g will raise defense and give you auto-life on all party. And final elixir will fully heal all party and take away any status problems as well. Dark anima is fearfully strong so watch out for her attacks which are:
Pain - Will instantly kill you.
Mega- gravition < Watch out for that one, because once she does that attack. Your party will be inflicted with or sort of status problems like zombie, curse, sleep, doom, silence, slow and poison.
And you have her OD watch is oblivion, summon an aeon if you see her OD full. So before facing dark anima or other dark aeons get ribbon at all cost. It will save you from all those status problems.  When she attacks it takes a lot of your life and you will end up dying more than you think.  Make sure your health is at this > *99999* <  I knew my party is somewhat weak against some dark aeons I didn’t care how much the damage was even if it was small, at least I was hitting. Keep using wakkas OD attack reels or use tidus OD, keep going until you have finally killed her.

Dark Magus Sisters can be found at mushroom rock.  I couldn’t battle 3 of them together so I ran. For this you will get chased. When you run to a certain point the first purser will give up the chase, which is dark cindy. The last two who pursers are quick, so make sure when you run you don’t bump into anything. Or those two will catch up quickly to you. If you manage to keep running without being caught, then the second purser will give up the chase, which will be dark mindy. When you manage to get to the lift and the summoner follows, and will look for you go to her and battle. Btw heres a little story, I remember I had to go to mushroom rock for a reason years ago. The first time I encountered them it was a surprise to me. My party was so weak back then so I panicked and ran for my dear life.

Dark Sandy: I did the usual using hyper mighty G and final elixir. I also used wakkas OD as well you don’t need to summon an aeon because I separated the sisters. They can’t use their normal OD which is delta attack. But, instead she will use mega-gravition even though she is not so much as a threat on her own. There are many advantages you can use to win the fight. Remember to use auto- life and rikkus mix those are your best friend, like I said to keep you alive. For attacks you can use whoever you want but, I think it’s better to use wakka. Dark sand has high evasion so she will evade every attack that comes her way.  Than idea came to mind I started to use black magic on her, such as flare or ultima. One thing I notice is that, when she attacks with her move called *Razzia* it will counter-attack the auto-life that you have set. And that person will not come back to life. Just use good old phoenix down for when that happens. Keep using wakkas OD, rikkus OD and yunas magic and will win the battle.


Dark Mindy: I used hyper mighty G to start off, do that then start to attack her. She also has high agility so it’s ok if she evades because you will use the same strategy, which you used to defeat dark sandy.  Her attacks are passado, calamity which brings status problems. If you have ribbon equipped then you will be fine. And as for her OD it will be the same as dark sandy. And again you don't need to summon an aeon for sacrifice for this battle. This is how the battle went first, used hyper mighty g then I attacked knowing she will evade. I needed her to hit my party so then the OD’s gauge can get full and ready to be used, which she did. Use attack reels then if someone dies revive them. I also used final elixir to heal my party then used flare, if this pattern works for you then use it. Everyone has their own patterns of how to strategize and more. When you are attacking always make sure your party has auto-life because you can never know what can happen. Let wakka and rikku attack while yuna uses flare. I don’t know how you like your party, so yours will be different to mine. My normal party would be tidus, yuna and wakka. I changed it because tidus was not doing what I wanted him to do…when everyone is on auto-life, that’s when you can go all out until she kills someone. Start with defense, attacks then heal. That’s how I see it I think or it can go in other ways, like heal while attacking. Keep going then she should be dead.

Dark Cindy: She is slow but, it doesn’t mean she won’t evade some attacks. Her attacks are very high in damage so be careful. Use the same strategy that was used to defeat dark sandy and mindy. Her attacks are camisade and normal attack but, her OD is the same as the other two. You will get to hit dark Cindy sometimes, while at other times she will evade. When she attacks, your mp will goes along with it. So make sure you have turbo ether in stock. Use the same pattern again to beat her.

Dark Yojimbo: Now this battle is a tough one you will have to beat him 5-6 times. First use hyper mighty g then attack. Dark yojimbo also has high agility and evasion his attacks are kozuka, daigoro, wakizashi and his OD zanmato. On the first few battles his OD gauge will fill up slowly. When his OD gauge is full summon and aeon to sacrifice or it will be game over for you. When he uses kozuka use dispel afterwards on whoever he has attacked in your party. As you will be inflicted with full break which is these: power break, magic break, magic def break armor break and more. You will need to use hyper mighty g a lot for this battle, make sure all items to make it are stocked up. When he attacks with wakizashi you will be able to come back to life. Make sure you use and have auto-life, hyper mighty g a lot. Like I said they are your key to win, the battle against dark aeons. Dark yojimbo is ridiculously strong and will hit you nothing but, 5 9’s >*99999*<. Make sure you are well prepared before facing this ruthless dark aeon. Ok listen very carefully to this, do not wait till his OD is full, or he will kill you when you don’t expect it. When it is almost full summon an aeon don’t attack use shield. If it’s full then you can use a reasonable attack, because every attack helps no matter how small it is. Then he should unleash zanmato. Then keep going with the strategy until the first round is completed. Make sure you go to a save point, when you beaten him once you can’t save then leave the game. You have to beat him 5-6 times in a row. Go and find the save point touch it and then find the summoner that ran off. By the 3rd battle his OD fills up very quickly one wrong move and then its game over for you. By the 4th battle it will fill up really fast so watch out. What you should do is that because you will have to summon your aeons more, switch rikku with lulu from time to time to use doublecast and use flare. Do the same with yuna if she has black magic. I did panic a bit but, all went well I didn’t have to summon so much and this idea I thought of worked. 

This is my first half of my walkthrough, it took me time to do. I hope this helps you in a way when playing the game. I had to break it down because it was a lot. I hope you enjoyed reading this, and the other half will come soon. ^-^

Excellent job on this gigantic walkthrough! You are very thorough and clear with each section of your walkthrough which is great and I think clarity is the most important factor in a walkthrough for a game. Because if it isn't clear, then it becomes hard to follow. Overall I think you did an excellent job with this, you were very specific and detailed through each part of your walkthrough and I guarantee that this will come in very handy for several members playing this game. Keep up the awesome work and I can't believe there is a second half to such a gigantic walkthrough! Nevertheless, it came out great, nice job! 

Eniitan : Yay!  I'm glad to see this come through, even though I probably won't get the chance to actually play the game for a long time.  If I ever get the game and get stuck, I'll make sure to come here!  That tip about getting the Venus Singil was a particularly good point.  Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Eniitan : Wow...just...Wow that is a very descriptive and amazingly helpful walkthrough you made (even if it is only half of it) :O!  This is honestly one of the first ones I've seen in a long time that look like they would be of great help for someone playing Final Fantasy X. Awesome job on this and even if you feel bad about using the links, it's still a very well-written and descriptive walkthrough! I can't wait to see the other half when it is finished .

Eniitan : I've read your Review earlier this day and I really like it a lot. (Although I don't understand very much about it, but I think that's because I never played a FFX game before. So don't think you didn't explain this good.)

The way you explained all those things do I like. It's pretty clear and easy to understand when you ever heard of those games. It's amazing that you added links but I also think it could be an idea if you added some pictures. With pictures, it will be even more easier to understand. (But it would be difficult to find some good pictures..)

For short: Great job on your first Walktrough. It's useful for players who need help for this game, I know this for sure! I think you should continue with making them sometimes. You have talent for making Walktrough's. (Can't wait for the second part! ~)

Man, I really wish I had the International version. You get so much extra stuff... But I wish even more than my current FFX disc wasn't so scratched. Every time someone uses a magic attack, it takes about  5 minutes for the attack to load.

Anyhow, I like how helpful this is. Very descriptive and clear. I plan to use your walkthrough in the future to get all those Crests and Sigils. Thanks for the walkthrough! ...I'll probably never get that darn Venus Sigil, though. My reaction has tremendously slowed down in the past few years. I used to have reflexes of a fox.

I have always wanted to reply to your walk through from a long time ago but I kept forgetting and I was busy, but this time, I won't forget to reply to it. Anyways, this is just.... Amazing. Very long, detailed and yet very clear and well done. That is also a very helpful walkthrough Eni! Awesome job! You have a really great potential in making awesome walkthroughs. If this is your first walkthrough and if it is that amazing, then that will definitely mean that your walkthroughs will be unbelievably even more awesome in the future. Just imagine a first walkthrough being awesome like that. I also have a FFX disc for ps2 so I guess I'll start playing it again while looking at your amazing walkthrough.

This is pretty good, don't know if you can call this walkthrough, but still. I believe this will help many people who are in stuck on some Dark aeons or can't find all celestial weapons sigils/crests. etc.

That was your first walkthrough and it's really massive, impressive and detailed. Looks like there's lot of things to do in this game for a 100% completion. Oh boy, it requires lot of patience, I can tell. Well then, I move on to the second part of the walkthrough

This is a good start at trying to write useful information to help others with games,

As a Huge Fan of Final Fantasy Games, I feel the information you provided was good enough to provide help.. It's not going to help people out with certain sigils and crests but in my honest opinion that's a good thing..People need to try and figure things out themselves from time to time.

My only solid complaint is that there's a few spelling errors.. It's nothing major. It just makes it look less professional...  I.e Singil 
Also sometimes your sentences can be hard to read /understand.. I'd recommend proof reading future walkthroughs. 

Overall it's a very solid first Walkthrough, It's not great, but nobody can instantly write great things. Just keep practicing and it will get better

P.S I'm aware that this is a more negative review than others.. But I want you to improve as a writer. Not simply like the post and leave a generic positive response.

Even your first walkthrough was great I hope you keep making more. This was one of my favorite Final Fantasy games I played it allot but never got 100% completion but now I can thank you.

If I can find a way to play this game on my XBOX 360... I would actually use this guide, it is that good. And keep in mind... I never use guides.
