Nice thread! I love playing racing games in moderation. Recently, I've played a few times a month. 
I do remember a few years ago when I'd play NFS and Nascar every day.

I would probably say in moderation as well, every once in while isn't enough, but I also wouldn't say I play them all day every day either. So somewhere in the middle is how often I play racing games. They aren't like nascar type racing games, I just mean stuff like mario kart and those types of racing games. I played them like all the time when I was younger, but now I play them in moderation.

I used to play them all the time but lately I haven't played much of anything let alone racing games. I need to start playing them again more because I loved playing them. They passed time and it was the best feeling when I won.
