NintendoFanKimmy: Legend in the Making Chapter Twelve: DenzGamer135, The Reuniting, and Clifton Smith NintendoFanKimmy had taken her first step into the courtyard. It was scattered with element-bending trainees of all ages. Some of them looked friendly. Some of them did not. Either way, though, Kimmy decided she was going to be friends with all of them. So, she tried to be as kind as possible. “Uh, hello!” she began. “Pleased to meet you. A-are you new here?” She was not the best at striking up a conversation. At least she was not bringing up a fight. But, the water bender she was talking to did not pay any attention to her. She simply surfed away on the wave she had created, motioning it with her hands’ gestures and being careful not to splash anyone. “She’s extraordinary,” thought NintendoFanKimmy to herself. It was true. The girl had control of every single drop, and she was moving them wherever she pleased effortlessly. “I have to be like that when I’m through with these lessons,” Kimmy said to herself. “Otherwise, all of this was for nothing.” So, she wandered further into the courtyard, looking for some more people to talk to. She needed friends that were her peers. She did have greenluigi, but that was about it. Not to mention he was her cousin. She needed a real best friend. Besides, green was off with Jerry “becoming temporary parts of the marvelous community” as her trainer had suggested. That is what she guessed, anyway. So, she stumbled upon another student about her age, and this one was fire-bending. “Nice and easy,” he whispered to himself. “Nice and easy. Control the flames within… Avoid hurting anyone or starting a forest fire.” Then, Kimmy poked his shoulder. “W-whoa!” he exclaimed, startled, immediately snapping his fingers, causing the flame he had formed to die out. “Watch it, kid! You have got to be more careful with trainees while they’re practicing. Especially fire benders. You could get hurt by accident. Just be careful.” NintendoFanKimmy immediately apologized. “I’m sorry. I’m still kind of new here… Also, I’m not so familiar with the whole bending thing. Uh, hi, anyway. I’m NintendoFanKimmy. But, you can just call me Kimmy.” She and the fire bender shook hands. “I’m DenzGamer135. But you can call me Denz.” She had finally made a new friend. Then, she realized something. “Hold on a second… That name’s familiar… No way! Would you happen to be a citizen of Vizzed?” Denz nodded. “Yeah! I think I’ve seen you around there. I’m here in the Avatar: The Last Airbender World with my friends A user of this, Matthew2321, and Mr. Zed.” Kimmy’s eyes widened. “Are you serious?! They are some of my closest friends! I’m so glad they’re here! Where are they? What are you guys doing here?” She had a ton of questions to ask. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, just slow down for a second. Matt, Zed, and User are out touring the city. All four of us are on a quest to hunt down the remaining pieces of XZH. I’m going to assume you’ve heard of it.” NintendoFanKimmy nodded. “Yeah. Actually, I was doing the same thing with my cousin greenluigi, and Jerry, an ex- Team Flare Grunt. And, I met up with User a while back while we were fighting Shao Kahn disguised as an old woman. He lent us a hand before splitting up. He told us he was chasing the same goal we were, but I never thought it would be with you guys!” Denz exhaled in relief. “So, you have taken care of the Pokémon World? That’s good to know. We’ve only killed one of the pieces. In the Call of Duty World.” Then, hyped up with anticipation, Kimmy waved goodbye. “See you! I’m going to wander in the city for a little bit! I want to see User, Matt, and Mr. Zed!” Then, she dashed into the building’s back door and popped out the other side onto the streets of the rural village. “Okay!” called Denzel. “But, remember, training begins in fifteen minutes!” Then, Kimmy searched every corner of the village for her friends. “Where could they be?” she thought. Then, she heard a familiar voice call out to her from behind. “Hey, Kimmy!” It was greenluigi! “Look who we’ve found!” Then, NintendoFanKimmy turned around and saw her old friends Matthew2312, A user of this, and Mr. Zed. “Matt! User! Zeddah!” she called, running towards them. “It’s so great to see you guys again!” Matthew nodded. “Great to see you, too, Kimmy.” Then, Mr. Zed had a suggestion. “How do you all feel about having a bite at Chez Barney Smith? I heard it’s the village’s pride and joy!” Everyone raised their hands into the air. “Me!” Then, Jerry’s stomach rumbled. “Heh, heh…” he chuckled nervously. “Sorry about that.” Then, everyone laughed. “Let’s get going, then!” said User. Then, the group of six, consisting of NintendoFanKimmy, greenluigi, Jerry, A user of this, Mr. Zed, and Matthew2321 walked over to the so-called famous eatery, “Chez Barney Smith”. They all sat down in a booth facing a window on the left side, where the view was rather bland just like it was on the left side; all they could see was the side of the brick alley in which the restaurant was located. The atmosphere was rather odd; it felt like pub more than a restaurant. Maybe it was just the behavior of the civilians. They were the rough ‘n’ tough types. From what could be seen, at least. The six friends looked at each other. “Uh…” began Matthew2321. “Are you guys sure we want to eat here?” NintendoFanKimmy nodded. “Heck, yeah! I’m starving! I’d eat anywhere right about now!” Everyone sighed. “Fine, then.” After looking at the diverse menus, they were all ready to decide. “Uh, waiter?” called A user of this, clearing his breath. “We’re ready to order now.” The buff, nearly bald man walked over to the table the group was sitting at. “And what exactly will you be having today?” he asked in an intimidating tone. “Hurry up, ye whippersnappers, I don’t got all day, ye knows?” Greenluigi stuttered. “Uh, yeah, right. Uh, I’ll be having the seafood platter, p-please, and some Diet Coke on the side.” The man wrote down the notes on his sketchpad. He turned to Mr. Zed. “And you?” After the gang was finished posing their orders, the man walked away while grumbling. “This isn’t the friendliest neighborhood…” commented Jerry. Everyone nodded in agreement. He was definitely right. After Jerry retold some of his background story about being part of Team Flare and everything, the food came. Despite the overall attitude of the place, the food was remarkably good. “Yum!” slurped NintendoFanKimmy, hogging down her noodles. “This is fantastic!” Matthew nodded. “Yeah. It’s delicious! No wonder this lil’ town is proud of this place!” After a luscious half-hour of filling their empty stomachs with goodness, Jerry let out a huge belch. “Uh, sorry. This is becoming a regular thing, I guess…” Then, everyone laughed once more. Everyone was having a good time, and NintendoFanKimmy was at ease. That was until she remembered something. “No! No! No! I can’t believe it! I missed my first element bending training session! Aw…” Then, she plopped her head on the table and sighed. Green smirked. Then, he chuckled. “Heh. Who’d expect you to be on time, anyway? You’re Kimmy, after all. Anyway, you better go and catch up! Perhaps the lesson’s not over yet!” Then, Kimmy hurriedly waved a goodbye to her friends at the table and dashed towards the restaurant door. She was about to go through the exit until she felt her head bang into something, and she was sent crashing to the floor. “Hey! Ouch!” she yelled angrily. “Watch where you’re-” Then, she was motionless. The tall, blond boy she had bumped into was looking down on her with entrancing blue eyes, and a captivating, warm smile. “Oh! I’m so sorry, Miss!” he exclaimed, helping her up. “I hope you’re not hurt!” Kimmy was speechless. “He’s gorgeous…” she thought. “Uh, no, I’m fine! Heh, heh. I’m Kimmy. NintendoFanKimmy,” she stuttered. Then, she adjusted her gloves and flapped her hair, trying to make it look less fuzzy. “I-I’m sort of new here. Heh.” The boy smiled. “Well, nice to meet you, Kimmy. My name is Clifton Smith. I’m Barney Smith’s son. You know, Barney Smith, as in the owner of this dump.” NintendoFanKimmy shook her head. “This place isn’t a dump,” she lied. “I-it’s wonderful! Your dad is doing a great job of running it! Really!” she tried to sound convincing. “Shower him with compliments, Kimmy,” she thought to herself. “That’s how to get his attention.” Clifton looked pleased. “Oh, well, thank you. But, this place really is a dump. Come with me.” He grabbed her hand. Kimmy tried not to blush. “I’ll take you on a tour around the city. You’ll love it!” Kimmy gladly accepted and dreamily walked through the door with him, completely forgetting about her bending lessons. Then, Clifton took off his coat. “You cold?” he asked, holding it up to Kimmy, who was crossing her arms and shivering. “It is pretty chilly this time of year, you know,” he said. “Especially in this village.”Then, Kimmy shook her head, refusing the offer. “Nah, I’m good.” Then, Smith put it back on. “Okay, then. You’re pretty tough.” NintendoFanKimmy smiled. “Thank you! You’re pretty nice!” Then, the two walked around the now snowy city some more, pointing at everything and commenting on them. “This is a wonderful place!” exclaimed Kimmy. Clifton chuckled. “Ha, ha. Well. You’re a wonderful person.” Then, Kimmy blushed and smiled. “Thank you, Clifton! Also, thanks for the tour of the city. I appreciate it…” Then, she put her hands in her jeans pockets and walked away, sulking. That was until Smith stopped her. “Hey, hey, hey! Who said it was over?” Then, NintendoFanKimmy’s eyes glistened with joy, and she turned around. Clifton smiled. “Well, technically it is, but I want to see you again. How about dinner tonight? My treat!” Kimmy wanted to scream out of happiness, but she didn’t, of course. Instead, she just smiled. “I’d love to, Clifton! See you there!” Then, she walked away, and Clifton Smith waved goodbye. After reaching the dormitory that had come with her bending lessons, Kimmy collapsed on her bed and sighed. “I find him special…” she thought. Then, she smiled. “According to the way things are going, he might feel the same way about me…” She crossed her fingers and hoped, and then fell a village she and her friends would be staying in for the next while was not a piece of cake. But it was fun. Afterwards, still not realizing she had flat-out skipped her bending lessons, she began to prepare for the dinner. She combed her hair a little bit; she still liked it slightly big and fuzzy, and she took off her gloves. She didn’t have anything else to wear, so she stayed in her green T-shirt, short, white-sleeved dark blue jacket with yellow pockets and linings, navy converse All-Star shoes, and light blue jeans. She tried to be as formal as she could, though. So, she took a deep breath and walked out of her room. She took the elevator down to the ground floor and marched through the door of the four-star hotel. Then, she saw a familiar face that reminded her of everything she should have realized before. “Hi, Denz!” Then, she stopped. DenzGamer135 raised an eyebrow. “Now, do you remember? You missed your bending lessons. Great job.” She had completely forgotten. “Oh, my God!” she exclaimed, cupping her mouth. “It just slipped past my mind! I was having such a good time with my friends and all, and- wow, I’m a goof.” Then, Denzel began to walk away. “Just try not to forget tomorrow. The trainer was pretty mad, you know.” Then, he was completely out of sight. Kimmy tried not to think about the matter for the time being and pushed the thought aside. “Just forget about it for now,” she said to herself. “Focus on the matter at hand. Dinner with Clifton. Try to make your best impression.” Then, she walked down the steps of the building and sighed. “I’ll be fine.” Then, she continued heading to the restaurant, which was a random one this time, not Chez Barney Smith.
