NintendoFanKimmy:
Legend in the Making
Chapter Ten: Captain Olimar and the Titan Dweevil“Ready? Get set… Go!” signaled Jerry, and the ambush on the Titan Dweevil had begun. Everyone did as they were told; greenluigi jabbed its leg with his pocket-knife,NintendoFanKimmy punched that same leg and Jerry shot at it with his handgun. The only thing that didn’t go as planned was their getaway. The whole ambushwas supposed to be a hit and run sort of attack. Just so it would start chasingthem, giving time for the poor, battered up Louie to catch his breath. They didhit, but they didn’t run. Just as they were making their escape, three of theTitan Dweevil’s eight robotic spider legs pinned each of them, excluding Louieof course, to the ground by their stomachs. “Hey, let us go, nut job!” yelledJerry, trying and failing to struggle free. Kimmy gulped. “I hope what is hasin store for us is not too brutal…” Her wish had not come true. The leg whichall three heroes had attacked had regenerated, and was mobile again. Usingthree of its eight legs to pin its opponents down, it still had five legs free, each of them with a sharp, pointy tip. Green began to whimper. “Help! Somebodyhelp!” He frantically wriggled his wrist, with his knife still in hand, in apathetic attempt in breaking himself free. “If you do what I think you aregoing to do,” began greenluigi, “you are going to regret it big time!” Then, both NintendoFankimmy and Jerry looked at him in confusion. They all knew, though, that it couldn’t be. If it did do what they thought it was going to do,it wouldn’t regret it. Well, if it did, it certainly wouldn’t be them who wouldcause is to. There would be no ‘them’ anymore. Except for rotting, piercedcorpses, if those count. Anyway, back to the scene our story left off from. “Wecan bribe it!” suggested Kimmy. Jerry cursed under his breath. “How are wegoing to do that, genius? You think it speaks English?” He had a point. “Darn…Now what?” Finally, green had a sense of realism to him. “Nothing…” They allknew it was true. While no one could see because of his red sunglasses, Jerrysnapped his eyes shut. “Brace yourselves!” They all did. While standing on twolegs and pinning the heroes down with three, the Titan Dweevil used itsremaining three legs to strike through them all at the same time. I raised themhigh up and into position, and was about to strike until – boom! A YellowPikmin had been thrown at the Titan Dweevil, and it attacked its equivalent ofa knee joint with its bud just as it was popping into a flower. To the TitanDweevil, it was just like being hit in the funny bone, and its central nervoussystem went haywire. Now, the only question remaining is: was it for better –or for worse? To answer, it was a bit of both, really. The good part was thatits legs that were originally going to pierce through greenluigi,NintendoFanKimmy, and Jerry’s hearts went completely numb. The bad part? Theother two legs it was standing on began to malfunction and become wobbly. Asinstinct to ensure it would not collapse, it firmed up its other three legsthat were pinning green, Kimmy, and Jerry to the ground. As a result, its sharppoints slipped past, and its blade-like sides slightly slashed each one’sstomach. Kimmy yelped a painfully sounding, “Ouch!”, Jerry simply let out anagonizing groan, and green just flat-out passed out. He had a low paintolerance, evidently. Eventually, though, it collapsed on its side, freeing thetrio. Jerry plopped an unconscious greenluigi on his back, and a limpingNintendoFanKimmy frailly tagged along behind him, looking for their savior.Jerry, as usual, though, had his suspicions. “Who’s there?” He asked, eventhought he was pretty sure that it was Louie, as it was a Pikmin who had beenthrown at their attacker. Although, Louie was in too poor of a condition tohave done that, and he had mentioned he had a friend of his who was even moreexperienced than himself with the creatures. According to Louie, his friend’sclosest Pikmin friend was a small, Yellow one. She was the first one he met. And, has Jerry had just realized, that was the one who sabotaged the TitanDweevil. Then, it hit him – Olimar was the one to the rescue. Just in time, hewas. And, they found him, too. Holding his best friend, Louie, on his back, andhis flock of Pikmin at his side. “Come with me, you poor things.” Captain ofthe Pikmin Olimar said. “You guys obviously need some help. I’ll provide thatfor you. This way.” Jerry lost his suspicions and followed desperately. Kimmydidn’t hesitate to tag along, either. They needed what they could get.
