I know for one I can get multiple hand guns at any time and I live in a "mainly white" town as well..

Acually David, there are a lot of kids who get there hands on guns here, even then its like 2 hours away from you, there has been some increased gang activity around our schools and alot of it is guns..pretty sad, I hate punk ass kids like that...but yea alcohol is easy as hell to get if you know the right people and/or half my friends have fake ids...

Your parents shouldn't make it 100% easy for their kid to get their firearm, although my friend has like 12 shotguns and 3 rifles just racked in his basement free to take his parents atleast lock the ammo up safe and tight. (Accept they all hunt so it might be different for them) But thats pretty irresponsible from the parent to give their kids easy acess to guns.

s***, ive lived in Madison all my life, and I havent heard of Prescott till this board..Prescott has to be one of those out in the boonie places like Shawno where tons of people hunt and stuff I know i'm probably wrong but somebody give me an example or a comparission of Prescott im curious..

Sounds nice, im probably going to start wearing bullet proofs vests when I go to school soon, there is a ton of gang violence coming from East highschool..aka punks with guns thinkin they are hard cause they can shoot people if they walk on "their" street..thankfully I live in one of the nicest parts of Madison so I dont have to deal with that on a daily basis..

Back to the topic I don't drink.
My family has some guns but my brother is 16 and I'm 18, I technically own a shotgun. It is sorta mine but my parents keep it. The only time I use it is in the fall sometimes the Men's Club my dad is in has a turkey shoot and I shoot in that some.

Edit: this is my 150th post in 6 days, it took me 45 to get to 100 on the old board.

Some is and some isn't. Some of the people spend a lot of time in the cities and stuff like that. Its a rather socialy mixed community.

Well the NEWER generation of kids are different than the kids I grew up with. When I was in high school it was alot different than it is now.
How many towns do you see a truck sitting in front of a bar with a few hay bails in the back?
How many towns do you see horse s*** lying on the side of the road?
Or Tracktors driving in the middle of town on the streets?
How many towns have Barns in the middle of town? And corn fields in the middle of town?
ALl the downtown buildings are over a 100 years old.

We have a population of 3,800, and we hava 8 bars! When I was in high school, kids wore cowboy hats to school.
The majority of the kids live in the country and a good percent are farmers in prescott.

And to top that all off, almost everyone is related to everyone!

Tell me that doesn't make our town a hick town.

I work at a gastation/liquor store in prescott, I see the people of prescott ALL the time, you don't.

We're using a middle school that is almost a 100 years old, and our town doesn't plan to get a new school probably for another 20 years, even though all the current school's are 30+ years old.
