Hey! I'm Kris, also known as lightech. I never had the opportunity (due to parental control) as a youngin' to get into any type of gaming. And we're a Mac family so most games don't work on our systems anyways.

But I got married! My husband is a huge xbox fan and his best friends are huge computer gamers. So, it is my goal to learn about their culture and become immersed in their world. And let's be honest, I want to live all those fun memories that I missed as a child.

Experience Corner: I have played a few games on Sega Genesis when I was young - we owned two games: Lion King and EA Sports Basketball something. Then we got a GameCube with one game: Harry Potter 2. Then we got a GameBoy with one game: Pokemon Red. The computer games I played were mainly Oregon Trail and Yukon Trail. That is my extent of childhood gaming.

I found this site because I had an urge to play Pokemon Red again .... it was a favorite until I lost the GameBoy and game on a roadtrip. It's just too bad I'm still with a Mac so it blocks most of the fun games.

So any help and advice will be much appreciated! It get's boring to go to my husband's best friend's place and have no idea what they are playing and talking about.
