Hey, I was wondering, if you record a video using the RGR plugin, what are the usage rights for it? Generally all one does with it is upload it to the Vizzed YouTube channel, but could a person, say, edit it on their own time and add narration as a Let's Play and upload it to their own channel? Could someone else piece together multiple videos together of one game across multiple platforms and upload it to their own channel as a Let's Compare fan video? Can videos be added to information sites (wikis, stuff) without notifying Vizzed but still giving Vizzed credit? I want to know.

Thanks, 9-Volt

(P.S. Local mods, please move this thread if it's not in the right place. It might go in the RGR plugin help forum. I'm not sure.)

9-Volt : Lots of people use it to record Lp's and videos for their channels, including me. You are allowed to because it is not just for vizzed. It is your own video and you are allowed to edit it and do whatever you want with it.

If you are talking about a Let's Play, then I don't know if downloading the videos that are recorded on the Vizzed channel would be a good idea, since it's not exactly you playing. Now, if it was your gameplay footage that you want to use, then sure, go ahead and do that, since that is your video and uploading it on to Vizzed channel. Now, if you are saying you want to use footage from uploaded videos that are not yours for educational purposes (review, Top 10, comparisons), then by the Fair Use Laws, you are allowed to do that, and it would be best that you credit the Vizzed channel for taking the footage.

Thanks for the help! I understand clearly now. You can close the thread if you like. (Note: I was speaking of using my own footage. When you use your own, you can film it just how you like.)
