I have never liled Nintendo's way of thinking. Their console designs are becoming stranger and yet more so. All I want to do is game I don't want to use a motion censor brick of a controller I just want to pick up a controller and game.
The Gamecube was the last Nintendo console to provide that satisfaction even with it's odd button layout. There was no messing around, you put the disc in, slap the lid down and boom you're playing the game. It wasn't as good as the SNES because of the controller but it is close.

I hate to be mid-road here, but I'm voting for both. I've loved playing on the Gamecube and actually prefer its controller to the Wii controller. Then again, I am very familiar with the Wii and have had great experiences using the remote with motion sensor and playing games. I hate having to shake the controller in some of the games since it seems like an unnecessary waste of effort. But, yes. I multi-voted on this one.

Eirinn : Though the rule isn't in the newbie quiz or anything, there technically is a rule about A vs B threads, even if they aren't ridiculous comparisons. If some get closed and others don't, it looks like favoritism.

Well, I would say the wii mainly because you can play all the GameCube games on the Wii. But if it weren't reverse compatible, I would go with GameCube.

I am going to say wii mainly for the same reason as rcarter stated, it is reverse compatible which is pretty useful when it comes to playing gamecube games, mainly since I don't have a gamecube anymore, but I still have the games. If it weren't I would probably also vote for gamecube. I think Eirinn makes a good point when it comes to the controllers though, I like the gamecube ones better and they are just easier to use. I like them both for their own special reasons though.  So they each have their own pros and cons respectively.
