Only 2 users entered this competition and only 1 of the submissions counted. I'm getting disappointed with the lack of participation in these competitions now days, I might have to just cut it down to 1 or 2 competitions a month.

I am super sad about this one. Had a video and everything, and I forgot to upload it before I went to Iowa for 5 days. I remembered about 5 minutes after I left home

But yeah. I am disappointed in the lack of participation. I have noticed it has mainly been the speed runs. I would suggest doing a few more mainstream games for the next few speed runs. I think the Super Mario Bros 2 should get more participation.

Agreed rcarter2. It appears that many users attempt the competitions only if they are already good at the games in question. I only required 1-2 practice runs using save states to produce both the highscore and the speedrun for the December competitions. I was thinking about making some videos in regards to exactly how I train with save states. Perhaps if users were more familiar with this process they would attempt to compete in more games outside of their comfort zones.

rcarter2 : Yeah I'll have to try and limit the speed runs to well known games and probably easy games as well. That's too bad about your video, you should still upload it though anyway if you haven't already.
