What are you going to do? Are you going to sleep, stuff yourself with food, go to family?
I'm going to my grandma with my family, where we are going to eat and we're going to use fireworks. We're going to eat Dutch 'oliebollen' (literally translated oilbolls!) which are some kind of sweet breadcakes with raisins, butter and sugar powder, it's a tradition in the Netherlands to eat these with Old and New year.

coincidentally i am also going to my grandma house to celebrate new year.we are looking same.

   My immediate family and I and my extended family shall celebrate New Years' within the dwelling of myself or my immediate family and I shall celebrate New Years' within a dwelling of my extended family. Every celebration of New Years' I am a participant of is extremely similar to one another. Considering it is, it feels extremely dull each New Years', so I decide to commit what I commit nearly every day; use technology. Haha! Happy New Year, Vizzed!

Me & My Mom are gonna be eating finger foods & watch TV & then when the New Year comes we are gonna go & watch the fireworks from our deck & my dog are gonna be hiding in her kennel the whole time she hears fireworks because this poor thing is scared to death LOL!!

Well basically, I had planned on going to my Aunts New Years party.. they were going to shoot many fireworks eat chilli and have tons of candy and yummy treats. I got sick though a couple of days ago and my throat is killing me and I'm coughing terribly I would want to shoot fireworks which would mean it would just make me sicker so I stayed home. I am all alone tonight my mom left a note in the kitchen and it said We love you Laura, Happy New years these are for you, and left me a chocolate Santa Claus and some Christmas colored M&M's. She also got me some McDonalds to eat.. so it looks like all I am going to be doing is eating.. playing games and posting on Vizzed! :3 Happy New Years! Hope it's a great one for you!

I just came back from a New Year party with a few other families. It was great, lots of joking around and family games until we watched the New York recorded countdown on TV at midnight!

Can't wait to see what changes this new year brings!

Bintsy : Ah, that's so sad... I know a kid from my primary school that was always sick on Easter. At least you got some food (although not the most exclusive food) and now you could post and game on Vizzed!

EideticMemory : Cool, I saw the countdown on TV as well, although I saw a Dutch one of course. 

To everyone: I had a super day, we ate tasty food, gamed a lot ,  and I also used fireworks together with my dad. I'm one of those kids who doesn't like fireworks with loud BANG!'S and my dad didn't want to give out a lot more than 25 euros, so we got two small packets. It looked pretty nice, but one of the packets didn't stand stable, so it fell and a few flints came more in our direction than to the sky... But we weren't hit, so I guess you could call it a succes.

juuldude : My mother, my sister, my grandmother, my aunt, and my uncle had all watched the countdown together. Meanwhile, I was asleep and nobody had bothered to awake me. I missed the countdown!

I just stayed at home with my family and cooked lots and lots of food, went to church before new year's eve (gmt +8). Now the fridge is all full. And yes, I have to do some assignments tonight so I won't have to rush anything the day before the classes resume.

I went on vacation with my family up here in the mountains. We really didn't do all that much except for doing a few daily hikes. On New Year's Eve we stayed up and watch the twilight zone marathon leading up to New Years. We watched those stupid time square shows leading up to it, which was the same as last year. The restaurant that we normally go too was closed for some random reason so we had to go somewhere else. We really didn't do much different than last year, but it was still a very fun New Years! Happy New Years Vizzed!

Yep it sucks... I haven't been sick sense about the 8th grade so it's so amazing.. that it picks the funnest time of the year. And yeah not the most ExClusive food HEHE! It was yummy though :V

I went out with my wife's family and we got dinner.  We watched American Hustle and were driving home when midnight hit.  We passed a car wreck with an ambulance going home.  It was snowy and dangerous and the EMTs were out in big action yesterday.  I don't need to party and go out and make a deal out of it.  There's only one January 1st and there's only one July 8th during the year.  I try to celebrate all of them with the same passion and excitement.  Every day is another day you get to be excellent.  I don't have to wait for January or a new year or a special occasion.  I'm not even a big birthdays guy.

It sounded like you folks had a lot of fun.

DenzGamer135 : I read your first post wrong now I see and it's sad someone didn't wake you up. When I was young, I was once very sick that day, and I slept through the countdown and the fireworks. I slept very well but I wasn't happy that I missed the fireworks.

Juliet : I've never gone to a church (nor my family) but it's cool you cooked! My grandma made apple turnovers that tasted very yummy, but we didn't cook anything ourselves. The only thing I can cook is a handmade tortilla with handmade sauce
I don't have any homework for Monday, but I have a test on Tuesday for geography, which is not my favourite section

Barathemos : Was it good weather in the mountains? It was good weather here but around 11: 45 pm (or 23:45) it started to rain so it was a bit harder to use the fireworks. Also, what did you eat if you didn't went to the restaurant?

Bintsy : Luckily your food was tasty. I'm self almost never sick too, but right now I'm having a cold (the whole vacation in fact ).

warmaker : Was it a nice film? I don't think it's a film I would watch (probably because I'm a kid ) but from what I read on a site it sounds interesting. Here in the Netherlands one person died because fireworks exploded in his face . I'm not a big party guy myself too.

It looks like all I'll be doing is staying home and being on Vizzed and other websites I go to, as well as hang out with family members for a bit. Then again, I don't really do anything during the New Years, just stay home and do what I usually do.

juuldude : American Hustle was interesting.  It was about 20 minutes too long for my taste.  The story was pretty good and the acting was fine to watch.  There was very little violence and a lot of profanity and Amy Adams had clothes that were very risque.  I was entertained and it was good, but not great.

Last night was pretty awesome. First, I went to a really fancy Japanese restaurant. We had this nice and quiet Japanese-style booth that we ate in. Better yet, I had sushi for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. After dinner, I stayed up till midnight with my best friend playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!
