Have a distant memory of a retro game but don't know what it's called?

Is there a game that you can remember playing as a child but you cannot remember the name? Use this thread to tell us geezers everything that you can remember about it and maybe we can help you become reunited.

Thank you for helping me find that other game. I'm still amazed at your prowess, considering how little of it was online.  O.o

There is another game I've often wondered about, but I remember even less about it.  You see, my parents and I used to play games together on either the SNES or the NES.  I'm not sure which one it was, but I can tell you we played games like Duck Hunt, some Paperboy game, and and Addam's Family game on it.  (Since I think there might be more than one Addam's family game, in this one, you controlled Uncle... Fester?  And collected things on the ground.... that's about the most I can remember).

Can you tell me which system it is from that information, before I ask about the game?  Or do I need to remember more examples?

I think that the game you are talking about is Fester's Quest for NES. Does it look familiar?

thephantombrain :  Hmm.. I think so, but we must not have ever played it very far. XD The only pictures that look familiar are the ones with the yellow grass.  LOL  Unless there was a game made for the SNES as well though, it must have been an NES we owned.

In any case.... the game I remember very little about:

I believe it had a medieval theme.  It probably had magic in it, which means I wouldn't play it now, but I'm still interested in remembering what it was.  The sad thing is that I can only remember one scene, really.    I believe it was at the beginning.  It was a side scrolling game where you worked your way through a jungle.  And you could hop on the branches of the trees, I believe.  At the end of that (first?) stage, you entered into this huge doorway in a huge tree.

It's all I remember, for some very, very odd reason.  I know it's VERY unlikely the game can be identified from that alone, but I'm just curious to see if anyone can figure it out.  lol

An old football (soccer) game it was somehow similar to final fantasy X's blitzball, when enemy team catched you, you had to block them one by one to continue. you "had" to play the game by watching the mini-map so u knew where you are. (Sorry for bad explanation...)

Well it's basically a game where you go through and try to delete all the circles and if you get hit by the lazor guy then you die and have to start all over again.. I can't remember the name of this game and.. it used to be one of my favorite games growing up.

I would just ignore them.

It's a tough topic for people not to post in. I'm guessing a lot of people are seeing it from the New Posts page and just hitting reply and not realizing where they are posting.

This is a hard one I only remember one time of seeing it.  It was on dos in Windows 3.1  it had a kid on a skate board and he would use the phrase "Peachykeen".  It was an rpg and that's about all I have.  It's ok if no one knows I'm just putting it out there if anyone does.

I have one I remember, but I don't know the name.  It was for the MSX, and had a similar top down view to Road Fighter.
Except, it was one where you went through a number of car classes.  I think you started with Karts, or Minis.  You had to win a certain number of races in each class, before moving up to the next.  You gained prize money too, and could use this to get better cars.  Other classes I remember were Sports cars, Touring Cars, Rally, and a couple of others. I think it ended with you driving in F1.

rcarter2 :
UFC :
I glanced at some pictures from Wizards and Warriors, and I feel a bit conflicted. I mean, on one hand, I think I don't remember enough to say with 100% certainty that it's the correct game, but on the other hand.... I feel like those visuals are very familiar.  I don't know if that's my mind WANTING it to be the right match, or if it's because it IS the right match.  My gut says that it is, however.

You guys are.... AMAZING!  O.o  I wish I knew games like you did!  Both of the games I brought up here, have always bothered me in the way they elude my memory. You guys are phenomenal!  Wow!

Singelli : I have had that happen. There is an NES game called Werewolf - The Last Warrior. Rented it once as a kid, and absolutely loved it. Found it online about 15 years later. It was definitely the same game. There were parts I distinctly remembered. But overall, it just wasn't the overall game I remembered loving as a kid. It happens
