So I was just kinda lost in random thoughts one day and suddenly I was slapped in the face by a thought that had no real answer but only the ending outcome.

What the heck did Peppy Hare do in his life and how did he become part of the Star Fox Team?

Now I haven't really looked into any comics or anything from the old SNES days which a lot of that stuff was really awesome and interesting and also explained why Andross flipped out. But that aside, what do you guys think Peppy did before he was part of James McCloud's Team and then later Fox's?

I would throw my possible beliefs out there and be upfront but that might diminish the thread quickly. So you guys go ahead and just say whatever. Serious or funny, all is accepted!

my idea was that peppy used to be a flight school teacher, teaching the rookies of the cornerian army flight basics. he was so into teaching, he can't help but give advice to his teammates in the game, even at later levels. anyways his knowledge was favored by the army, so when mysterious activity was spotted in the other side of the Lylat System he was picked to investigate along with the hired mercenary James Mccloud and Pigma Dengar, who himself has another different story to how he got picked. Peppy showed the results of his knowledge in flight combat against hostile wildlife along the way, however he lacked the fighter instincts the other two experienced flyers had. as a result he found himself in trouble as many times as slippy is in trouble now. he often was saved by James and Pigma, and whenever Fox saved him he remarks "you're father helped me like that too". Upon reaching Venom they were attacked by Androsses forces. Pigma didn't think the 3 of them could fight against the large army, so he betrayed the team to join "the winning side" (what is it with nintendo pig characters betraying their friends and becoming evil?). Pigma would have shot down Peppy if not for James sacrifice, he stayed behind to fight the army alone while he allowed Peppy to escape to warn general Pepper of the coming war. sadly he met James' son Fox, and had to tell him himself the fate of his father. he then retired from the army to raise Fox himself from then on, and he taught Fox the way of dog fighting and all the maneuvers and such. he also trained himself to heighten his instincts and become a better fighter so he could pay back his debt to James by radically improving himself. there are other stories on the other 3 members, how they formed team Star Fox, but once they all got together Peppy became the genius of the group. although he retired the army he would always continue to fight alongside a Mccloud, being there for Fox when he needs him, always telling him when to do a barrel roll.

Actually he's married to Vanilla and has a daughter named Cream.
