1) Why do you like Dark stories?
I like some, but not most. They're too depressing. Some are necessary to shine the light on problems in our society to show reactions to revealed problems in society, so I like them for the potential they have for the spread of ideas to better our world.

2)What's your favorite dark story? (Films/Books/Games/etc)
This is hard, there are so many! For books, I like "The Shadow of the Wind", "The Giver", and "The Fault in Our Stars". Dark films include "The Prestige", "Matrix", and to a lesser extent, "Tron Reloaded" and "Inception".

2b) What makes it considered dark?
The presence of death and dystopia make these novels have that certain "dark" feeling to them. In SW the weather is always gloomy and rainy and death is prevalent. However, there were some really beautiful scenes. Giver was a dystopia and death did pervade the book through the concept of "being released". In TFIOS, cancer and death pervade the book and great tragedy appears. It's the saddest and my second favorite book by John Green.

3) What is something you consider your "greatest fear"?
My greatest fear is death itself. It makes life essentially meaningless. Books with death and with no clear presence of a higher power signify the inner terror I feel regarding death. I fear the death of others more than the death of myself, but the idea that in 200 years everyone may be dead that I know does pervade my thoughts.

3b) What is something you consider your greatest fear, but in reality [isn't your greatest fear?]
If this is your question, then you've truly read my mind. I don't go around saying that my true fear is death, but something more physical (at least I think it is). My fake greatest fear is ignorance. Ignorance can cause people to do incredibly bad things. But since life in itself doesn't truly have any meaning, it's only a false fear.

4) How do you feel about the unknown?
I'm scared of the unknown, but if inevitable I will face it. However, I don't resign myself to the unknown if there is a possibility to stay in the known.

5) What goes through your mind when you experience a dangerous event
I get an adrenaline rush and my mind works more quickly. I see what is the danger and make the best split second decision I can make to relieve the danger. I find that preparing beforehand for dangerous events gives me an edge, but there are often cases where my preparation goes down the drain unless it can barge into my split second thoughts.

6) When have you felt saddest in your life?
I felt saddest in my life when a family member had gotten incredibly sick. I was really messed up during that period of time. Thankfully, the family member recovered. I'm so grateful that things turned out all right.

That's like eight threads worth of questions in one post. Phew, I'm tired.
