The title pretty much says it all, have you felt that a certain video game hates you? The most notable example is the Mario Party franchise. Post in the comments about your choice and opinion!

One game (series) that comes to mind is the Fire Emblem series, especially Thracia 776. Oh, you have a 90%+ to hit? Miss 11/10 times. The enemy only has a 30% chance to hit and a 1% to crit? Hit and crit all the time. There is a trick to get the RNG to make it so you always hit/crit and the enemy's to miss no matter what, but that is cheating and I don't like that.

maguc : I have yet to try that game, but I plan to soon. Still, I couldn't help but like your post, as it made me laugh when I saw "Oh, you have a 90%+ to hit? Miss 11/10 times". lol Miss eleven out of ten times. Priceless. xD

I played a really good game last night on the SMS (and beat it), but it seemed to hate me. It was called Basketball Nightmare, and many times when I would be on a fast break, when I pressed the shoot button, it would pass the ball to a teammate who was still behind the half-court line, and call me for "Back-passing". Many other times, it would pass to no one in particular when I pressed shoot. I never did figure out why, but I still love the game. lol

maguc : Yeah, there's a reason I don't play the older Fire Emblem games lol. However, I find Fire Emblem rather easy. Perhaps it's because I've played it so much I've mastered it. The only cheat I ever use is in Sacred Stones, where there's a glitch that allows you to control enemies. The weapons you get are weak though, so I use it to snag those weapons as they are unlimited in uses.

Eirinn : might agree with me on this. For me, it's Super Mario Bros. 3. :s I have never passed the first world, lolololol. Not unless I had a ton of help. XD

I can't say there is a game that I can think of that seems to hate me. However, there is a game that HATES my wife. That would be Mario Kart Wii. When we would play that together, she would get so furious and frustrated to the point of craziness. She kept saying that it picked on her way more than me. For the longest time, I didn't believe her because I never really paid attention to her side of the screen. Then I started to pay attention, and she was right.

It would not let her keep first place for ANYTHING. The moment she would get in first place, she would get hit with 2-3 blue turtles in a row. Red turtles would hurl at her. The STOMP item would smash just before she had to clear a gap, making her fall. It happened every time. The moment I get in first, I MIGHT get a turtle once, but never multiple things. Typically if you get in the bottom places, you are given the really good items like Bullet Bill. But when she is in dead last after getting bombarded with nonstop punishment, she gets crap like Ink and single banana peels (which does no good in last place). She gets punished severely for being in first, then gets no good item when she is thrown in the bottom places. I feel bad for her. We don't play that game together much anymore.....

Xcom: Enemy Unknown is that game for me. There are times where I split my troops out of necessity, and then big, tough aliens swarm my individual troops. Try hard mode engaged

I've had quite a few games that felt like that, like Fallout 3 at times, but the one game would be any Mario Party game. That seems to be my unluckiest game I've ever played.

Call of Duty hates me, online anyway. Somehow, people always seem to kill me faster than I can after I encounter them. I rarely win face-offs because I die after getting hit with 2 bullets instead of the usual 3-4 that it takes from anything but a sniper. I go into rage mode quite a bit. However, I think there is a reason for that- my connection upload speed is slightly slower than everyone elses'. So what I see them do had already happened a quarter to half a second earlier; and when playing online that can be a huge time advantage, as actions and reactions take place as fast as a 1/10 of a second upon encountering somebody from the other team.

Still, knowing this I still get mad. Some of the deaths I get are complete B.S.

... Fire Emblem, with its tendency to stat screw you with some characters. Especially if you're doing a ROM hack, like FE7if; but I think that was intentional. Still annoying. As well as the RNG Goddess screwing you over sometimes.

Other than that, I can't really say I've seen a game that seems to "hate" the player.

I have determined that the match making on almost all MOBA games hate me with a burning passion. Every match I play I'm either with people who are crazy good or crazy bad I very rarely get a game that is just right 

Not hate but certain sports and racing games cheat with speed bursts from players when you're winning or even losing.  Sometimes it can be really frustrating to get beat because your safety is outrun by a guy who has a 50 rating for speed and blows by him.

RC Pro Am from Nintendo cheated terribly.  Mario Kart for SNES did the same.

For me, I would have to say dark souls. I hates me for some reason, but then again. It probably hates everyone.
