My best friend in the whole world (becerra95), and I have decided to try and host a Secret Santa.  ^.^

But.. *gasps*... How will this work???? You don't want to just pass your address around willy nilly?  O.o

This is NO problem. You can be guaranteed that your info will be kept safe and sound.  This is because I will be the only one dealing with contact information.  Now... before anyone spouts that I'm not trustworthy, I actually have the addresses for at least 5 vizzed members already (These people include Davideo7 and tRIUNE), and I haven't sent them a bomb yet.  In case you want to though, here are their addresses....

Anyhow... I can guarantee the safety of your contact information if you are willing to give it to me to participate.

So how will this work?

1.  If you wish to submit, you will send me a pm entitled "There IS a Santa Claus".  This will automatically place you in the game.  Make sure you send your shipping address in the pm.

2.  On 12/20, I will match players with their Secret Santa, and I will tell each player who their person is to gift.  The spending limit is $10, not including shipping and handling.

3.  Once you get the name of the person you will be gifting, find a gift for them on Amazon that is less than $10.  Do NOT purchase it, however.  Instead, calculate the cost of the gift and the shipping and handling.

4. Purchase an amazon gift card for the amount above.  Pm me the code to the card, and a link to the gift you wish to buy.

5.  On Christmas day, I will use all codes to ship the gifts out.


See, that's not .... TOO hard, right?  ^.^ And I promise on my life that I won't give your information away.

I would totally do this, but I just used up the last of my cash shopping a few weeks ago.  Maybe I can find a job between now and Christmas, like mowing a lawn?  I had to take some incompletes in some of my classes (long story), and I'm finishing up my homework now.  If I can get enough done in time to get a job, I'll let you know.

Hey Singelli, usually for this type of thing, aren't there wish lists or something? I mean, what if someone ended up buying someone else toilet paper for a gift? xD Just a thought, but a wish list might help the giver have an idea what the recipient wants.

This seems really interesting, and I would gladly do it, but amazon in the USA only ships to the USA, so it wouldn't be fair on others to have their cash wasted on something they send here.
I do hope this becomes successful though in every sense ^.^

Mistress :  I've actually never been involved in a Secret Santa where a wish list was implemented, but it wasn't a bad idea!  Too bad it seems like it won't matter.
