I don't know if someone's made this thread before. Please notify me if someone already has.

So who do you think is character who really deserves to be put in the new SSB game?
Try to explain well why the character you mention would be awesome and why it would be realistic and smart that he/she/it is included.
Just saying something like "Master chief because he's awesome LOL" isn't a very convincing argument.


I'm gonna say Black mage from the original Final fantasy.
Admittedly this isn't possibly the MOST realistic character to be put in the game but really, I think it would work in everyones favour
* NES has been the original system for old FF-games so there has been history between Squaresoft and Nintendo. Also many old school gamers look fondly back to the old days of NES and FF was maybe one of the first RPGs they played. It could reel in some people who consider Wii U to be a kids system.
* Squaresoft has been making many ill decisions during past few years so letting Nintendo handle their property could bring new found interest to company from younger generation. Besides after having  Lightning get a hold of Buster sword and SOLDIER uniform for DLC it became pretty clear to me that they're not considering their old property to be holy and untouchable.
* Finally creating an innovative and balanced move set for Black Mage could make him one of the more interesting characters to play. The character could have fairly weak and short-reaching melee but powerful ranged attacks e.g.

Now obviously this is all make-believe since the game choices are for nintendo to make and getting property from other companies is more difficult than pointing a finger at character you want and giving a stack of cash for it's owner. Still I'd like to hear some of your opinions

uusretrohippi : well i think a lot of characters like Sora from kingdom hearts and neku from the world ends with you and lyn from fire emblem also mudkip by himself and his limit swampert and marshtomp help by using muddy water and the last character i think should be terra from Final fantasy 6 they are adding black mage to ssb4 i know that

I think different Pokemon Trainers should be in Super Smash Bros. U and Super Smash Bros. 3D (I'm guessing that's what they're called ). That's because, the Trainers themselves haven't been taken into account as much as they should have. 

I think that Shadow the hedgehog should be added to the game ecause they have sonic. As a shadow fan, I really think that shadow would put that good and evil thing in there.

deg2000 : I am SO in support of Sora being in Smash Brothers. I hope that they could have Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening. Maybe as an alternate Marth skin?

I say Toad from Mario, because, well, why not? The four main Mario characters used to be Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. I am not sure what happened, but Toad has lost all of his popularity. I would like to see him get some of it back in Super Smash Brothers 4, or whatever the next Super Smash Brothers will be called.

Protoman from MegaMan ,if megaman is in SSB4 ,so should Protoman.

Honestly I would like to see more sonic characters in future brawl games for obvious reasons, I think it would be a good idea to have shadow as a brawl character, but they should try to make his move pool different from sonic's. We don't really need anymore mario or zelda characters, but I think we should at least throw in another sonic character or two, like Knuckles or Tails for example. 


Nonetheless though since brawl is near its release this year, I don't think they will add anything else, but I just thought I would share my input because I think it would be nice to have more sonic characters. 

I don't really care who gets added to SSB4, but one character I would love to see in SSB4 is Isaac from Golden Sun. He's perfectly reasonable, plus the most realistic rumor to date gives him a 50% chance of being in SSB4 (http://www.ssbwiki.com/list_of_rumors#.222_out_of_3.22_rumor AND Geno was going to be in SSBB but Square denied it, so it's probably Isaac).

Another character that I want is Mewtwo. Mewtwo has many differences between him and Lucario, so I don't see why people say that Mewtwo was "replaced." Mewtwo is one of the most famous Pokemon there is, so he surely has at least a fairly good chance of getting in SSB4.

Sabin Rene Figaro from Final Fantasy VI.
Moogle from Final Fantasy series (Well there is already Jigglypuff so why not another little cute furball. ).
Donatello (or any other TMNT).
Master Splinter from TMNT.
Rayman.
Krillin from Dragon Ball series.

Jeff Andonuts from Earthbound. He should he in there with other Mother charaters due to the fact that we NEED more Mother charaters.

I don't know if it is going to happen or not, but  I think it would be nice if Ike was still in it, there are only a few fire emblem characters in the game to begin with, and I think Ike was awesome in brawl, so I think it would be cool if he showed up in ssb4, the only thing I would ask that they do, is make him a bit faster, if he wasn't so slow and his moves didn't have so much lag time, then I guarantee more people would use him. But that is just my personal opinion. 

I would like to see Proto Man in Super Smash Brothers 4 because Mega Man and Proto Man could take out anything together, and Proto Man would be able to use the Proto Shield, which would block projectiles like Mega Man's Mega Buster, and Samus' charge shots.

I am so glad that Ike has been confirmed for the new smash bros/ Seriously though, he looked like he bulked up quite a bit from brawl, his arms are huge and he just looks a lot more buff in general, although I am sure the armor has a lot to do with the way he looks, but still, it is quite a noticeable change. One thing I have seen in a picture is that he is countering one of little mac's special punches or something...that could possibly mean that his counter is more powerful now....

I've also noticed that Marth seems way more feminine than in Brawl. Maybe the creators thought that they should make one pretty and one masculine male character. Also Ike seems ridiculously buffed now, but maybe that's just me.

uusretrohippi : I couldn't agree with you more with that, they can never make him look right, in the new game, he looks okay, but I can't get over his hair, they either make it look like a mullet, or short and sticking up more. I wish they could just make him look a man for a change.


I think they were trying to base the new marth off of this design which I think they got it down for the most part...except that hair.... 




For the most part they did a pretty good job with it, but the one thing I think they could work on is his hair....even though he wears the tiara in this picture, he still looks masculine.

Well, they already have Pikachu and Jigglypuff... Why not go ahead and add Charmander. That would be interesting.
