There is a lot of mainstream music out there,everyone knows One Direction and Miley Cyrus,everyone knows Metallica and U2,they all have songs that people know and sing along to,I could give other examples but those 4 are pretty mainstream,I prefer music that is more underground and maybe lesser known to some and I will list some underrated songs that some people should listen to when they can,I am sure they will be on Youtube or Spotify or elsewhere

GOD LIVES UNDERWATER - FROM YOUR MOUTH

This is a great song,sort of electronic pop with great vocals and a nice melody,the song is about gossip that is breaking up a couple and the music video is pretty unique

BURNING BRIDES - HANG LOVE

Some emo girls in my film club got me into this song and I love it,it is a sleazy,sexy rock song,reminds me of the grunge bands of the 90s,it has become a favourite

BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB - HALF STATE

This is an epic rock song,from start to finish,a song about people going nowhere,this band have had some success in the UK,but this song remains a secret to most,it is a huge favourite on my ipod,it is like a theme song for my life

DAX RIGGS - WAKING UP INSANE

A gloomy but beautiful song sung by the always underrated Dax Riggs,some may find it miserable,but I guess misery is what I like most of the time,a slow burning song about the pain of life,the vocals are the star of the song

BLACK LAB - WASH IT AWAY

And a classic for me,I remember this song in the 90s,a very pleasing pop/rock song,it is uplifting and despite misery in my life and others,this song puts a smile on my face,I have been listening to it a lot lately

So that is some songs that are incredible and maybe others will find them good too,everyone likes different kinds of music,that is some of the music I like

I watched God Lives Underwater and yes, the video was unique. Of course, it was playing backwards but it's impressive how he did his hand motions backwards. It's even more impressive how quickly and how much he had to eat in one sitting to make that video. The song was nice too

Swoon by The Chemical Brothers is just of those songs that when you hear it for the first time you know it from somewhere.
It may not be my favourite Chemical Brothers song as I am more into their music from the 90's. Swoon justs sounds like something that people should know.

Also there is Standing on my Own Again by Graham Coxon. This may of just scratched the bottom of the UK top 40 in 2006 but I feel again this is just something you all should know.
