I want to toss this issue in the air, Where do our personal choices in life end and the corporate responability begin?

Like with Fast Food, Should they be more open about saying "Hey you know, This food is bad for you. Don't eat it so much." or is it our own fault for being the fattest nation in the country?

Or with the tobacco companies, Is it their fault or ours Americans are dying every day because of their products?

I'm interested in what you guys think.

well, it's hard to say really.... because these companies make the products that do harm to people.... but, at the same time.... people continue to purchase the products eventhough they can be harmful....

I really think it has to be a dual responsiblity.... you can't blame someone else if you smoked a pack a day for 20 years and got cancer....

or ate at a fast food place twice and day and got fat....

but, these companies should also be required to inform the public in an honest fasion about how harmful their product is.... most likely an independent study if possible...

It seems as if people became reliant on these products then the shock of this stuff being bad for you set in, but by that time these harmful products became apart of our culture.

I mean, cigarettes and fast food haven't allways had the bad imahe they do now.

As for smoking... people don't smoke because it's healthy. Not everyone is so obsessed about it. Smoking seriously calms a lot of stressed people out... it's their comfort.

I agree with that to an extent.
