What would it be like if all civil authority, governmental programs, and all that lovely jazz ceased to exist [today]? What if there was no more of things that are abundant today, such as technology, and even food?
There would be no schools, no super markets to get food, no working hospitals, etc.

There is a NBC show called Revolution, which is a little like this, a modern dark age. A world-wide blackout caused human kind to go into a somewhat isolated life style, with over grown cities and the constant threat of death and starvation. All caused by not having electricity.

Anyways, what might you think are Good aspects of this, Bad aspects, and even Ugly aspects?

A lot of first world countries would be in trouble.

How many of you can farm, raise crops, dig wells, and sustain yourselves through winter?  I know I can't.  I'm screwed unless I can pillage enough cans to survive.

I think we'd see smaller local economies and people relocating to warmer climates unless they can survive.  I think developed countries, especially the United States and some parts of Europe and Asia, would crumble and fall into civil war because people are fighting for resources when they can't support themselves.  I think the less developed countries would excel because people already know how to feed themselves without visiting a supermarket.

I live in a city outside Detroit, Michigan.  it would be nothing but violence, rape, theft, and warfare.

Good aspects?  Where I live?  None.
Bad?  All of the above.
Ugly?  The above again.  Humans get nasty when survival is on the line.

Good aspects : Well more humans would depend on each other developing teamwork and socialibitly ( A word I made up ) . Plus people would have to put their faith in something now ... like need  stronger force than mankind to keep them alive and would probs get more religious .  No factories = less pollution but

Bad aspects : Maybe some people can't take the rough and tumble life and go mad or grow tired of either constantly depending on someone or constantly being bothered by someone who is dependent of them .  Less technology = no cable . video games , VIZZED , refrigerators , heck lots of things we need in our live .

Ugly aspect : Well I guess we'd have to develop a proper waste disposal method or then the rivers and other water bodies would become VERY polluted . People might look slightly more animal like due to lack of devices that kept them " clean " like hairdryers or something else that is well depended upon .

The precceding was an opinion of Mr. Zed . No words , letter or other grammatical aperatus were harmed in the making of this post .
