Well rule 34 of the internet does state: "If it exists, there is porn of it", so it's not really a surprise. You'll actually find that a lot of it is commissions as well. It really depends on the interests of both the viewer and the artist.

For the most part, what Tails says is what's up. As of late there just seems to be a pretty big group of furries that have come into the fandom mostly for those reasons. Now i'm not saying every furry is that way, not at all. But there just seems to be a group that is all about that...naughtier side...I suppose, aside from artists and the commissioners. Sadly its not something that will up and disappear. The only bad part is that because of what is displayed on the internet can typically give the fandom a bad name or bad image.

But I guess when it comes to any fandom there's always gonna be stuff like this regardless. Pornography will always be there so its to be expected that when something new comes along, its thrown into the mix.

Well, unfortunately, I used to think so. I only did because I know 2 in real life and...well, during the most awkward house visit in the history of existence, they said all furries were that way. I cannot give an accurate percentage, but a great deal of furries enjoy things that might be considered "naughty", just because they do doesn't mean that's all there is to their lives or whatever

Furries whether they look at things like that or not, still just enjoy art and messing around, complimenting the art of others. It's a community, a subculture so to speak, it's not all about dirty things, it's for people of all ages, just please understand, this is why mature content filters exist is for all the people who DON'T want to see "naughty" things or simply aren't of legal age to see such things. The fandom has nothing to do with being perverted, it's simply just the concept of anthropomorphic animals (animals with human like qualities), what each fur does in the fandom is on them, not the community as a whole. I hope this was informative for you. Just remember, as with any community, the members are quite diverse.

It does carry that stigma, but obviously it does not have to be related to porn at all! Actually the reason I first became interested in furries (long before I even knew the term "furries") was through Disney, Neopets, Marapets, Digimon, and other stuff like that. There is tons of great anthro artwork, comics and OCs out there in the community that is for all ages.

Annette : Yeah, that's the kind of origins that most of us in the fandom have. Disney was a HUGE influence on the fandom.

The fandom carries that stigma but most of them are pretty normal. Every fandom has it's crazies and lifestylers but furies can be pretty normal. It really depends on who you speak to honestly and what types of sites you go to. 

Kind of like how some people think all furies dress up in animal costumes and stuff when only a small percentage do etc. 

I had tons of Garfield comics and had three dogs, four cats and once had a goat for short time. Now my parets don't want pets. When someone insults the furries I be like: "Nobod gives a ****."

Another reason why I am not a furry, I really do not like people that look at inappropriate things, I don't care if they listen to people curse a lot though.

If there was a ratioed degree from 0-10 on how naughty furries are. its a solid 8.
But as with most things that 2/10s still counts for some purity. To be honest though its hard not to talk about animals in general without mentioning or tangential pathways into something naughty.

Indeed, Stereotyping is a usually a horrible thing to do. I mean I've never really talked about it much but I've been a furry for quite a while.. (Thanks neopets)

At the end of the day no matter what people are into or get enjoyment out of they have the right to be judged fairly.. Though in this day and age I get the feeling that it is too much to ask of people.
