(NOTE: This is sort of one of those venting poems I write sometimes when I'm stressed, so it's mostly metaphors and emotion, and I have no idea how good or not it is. I don't believe I've ever published one of my venting poems before or shown them to anyone...)

Rapidly spinning out of control
I haven’t the time to open my parachute
Hurtling too quickly toward a landing I am unprepared for
I have the parachute, but not the time
If I try to make time, the parachute will be lost
And a balance could lose me both.
I try to call out to the others, but nobody can hear me past the wind roaring in their ears
I may die
I may live
What does it matter, really?
I’m becoming less human by the second,
Drifting upward,
Turning into
A cloud
Of thought
But that is death as well
It’s not respectable to be a cloud!
I force myself to fall again,
Because I desperately need to meet the expectation
That somehow I’ll break free
That somehow I’ll save them all
Although it’s true that although I’ve been told it’s the same to fly as fall,
...I can’t really see how
I have knowledge of wind currents, but lack experience
Still a youth
Playing with things I cannot understand
And I’m dying
Probably
Hurtling down
And nobody sees it
And there’s simply not enough time
To grow my own set of wings.

W.O.W ... I can tell ur stressed .. or you were when you wrote this . The words grab my eyes and transfer an image of tension to my mind . And nice use of metaphors . Not much ryhmes but It is like ... I could feel the flow word after word , sentence after sentence .  Amazing

Thank you very much. I've has a sort of hard year, so my writing is a really good outlet for me. I'm glad this flowed and worked. It feels really good to let everything out.
