Ahh, one of my favorite pokemon... but you already read the descr
iption. Evolved from Gligar when it levels up at night while holding a razor fang, I recommend evolving your Gligar as soon as you can, as the only moves it learns only as Gligar are poison sting (which is obtained right away anyways) and slash. It's a ground and flying type, giving it immunity to ground and electric nullifying the main flying weakness. It hates the cold however... Let's take a look at this boss's stats shall we? :3
HP: 75 Pretty good but not actually great, just neutral.
Attack: 95 Nice one Gliscor... nice one indeed...
Defense: 125 Well, we know the best stat it has now! It really explains the average HP.
Sp Attack: 45 Good one... unless you use a TM this pokemon learns no special moves at all, NONE.
Sp Defense: 75 Aww... another defensive wall that isn't good with "special" pokemon.
Speed: 95 Although I don't really care about this since it's either first or last anyways, the speed is pretty good. Although I wouldn't mind it having a nature of brave or relaxed, maybe sassy. Who am I kidding, you guys don't get natures well...
Next is the movepool
Lvl. 4 Sand Attack: It lowers the target's accuracy, making it a great early on move.
Lvl. 7 Harden: Sucks, but I'll let it slide being the second move on the list.
Lvl. 10 Knock Off: dark move, 65 damage, 100 accuracy, removes the opponents item. You'll be holding on to THIS one for a long time
Lvl. 13 Quick Attack: If you don't know what quick attack does I pity you...
Lvl. 16 Fury Cutter: A classic bug move, does 20 damage with 95 accuracy, but every time in a row you use it until the 5th time it's power doubles. You decide.
Lvl. 19 Feint Attack: A dark type move of 60 damage and infinite accuracy, it always hits. SCREW YOU DOUBLE TEAM AND MUD SLAP!
Lvl. 22 Acrobatics: So the bat knows acrobatics? 55x1.5 damage 100 accuracy, it does double damage if you don't have an item. Loved by many, it's great for Gliscor due to the flying type matching of course.
Lvl. 27 Night Slash: Dark move with 70 damage and 100 accuracy, has a high critical rate.
Lvl. 30 U-Turn: A common bug move, it has the same stats as night slash but instead of high critical rate it switches you with another pokemon. See an ice type? No thank you, babai!
Lvl. 35 Screech: No. Just. No. Why?
Lvl. 40 X-Scissor: A bug move with 80 damage and 100 accuracy. Take it if you want, I would prefer Acrobatics if you still have it.
Lvl. 45 Sky Uppercut: I have bad memories with this move... don't get me wrong a fighting move with 85 power and 90 accuracy is good, but even with only 10 points lost in the accuracy department I personally have missed so many times it may as well have 60 accuracy. Hopefully you have more luck lol
.
Lvl. 50 Swords Dance: For a little more oomph in your power, I'm sure both me and relinquish022 disagree o this being a good idea.
Lvl. 55 What could be the finale for this great pokemon I present to you today? It's big, it's bad, it'll kill ya for sure(literally)! IT'S GUILLOTINE! Now I love this, because my Gliscor never knew acrobats(ill get into this later) and i gave it a wide lens for extra accuracy. Guillotine will insta-kill any pokemon with the same or lower level as you, but it has 30 accuracy and 5 PP, so use it in the direst of situations!
Now for my recommendation! My ideal Gliscor would have the ability sand veil, which increases evasion in a sandstorm. I would also use TM Sandstorm for the first move of a battle. Not every online competition allows this ability, but if you find a match that does go for it! It would also know Acrobatics, even if you want the Guillotine Wide Lens combo I went with you can still do as good damage as you would with X Scissor or Night Slash. Of course Guillotine is in too, and I would TM it eighter Dig or Earthquake, whichever suits your needs. If you have Black or White 2 you can teach it Earth Power. It also learns the 3 fangs of fire, thunder, and ice if you want more coverage. And if you care about EV's give it 250 on defense, 250 on attack, 5 on Sp Defense and 5 on HP, or 10 on eighter one.
Well now that was Gliscor, with stats suiting it's needs and awesome learnable moves I give it 5 stars for a good obtainable pokemon you can get in most games. Here's a picture of course. So epic :3
