As the title speaks the truth, is there anything that happened in the past, but may still make you smile today? Multiple events maybe?

I would say one of the moments that is on the top of my head is the time my mom and I had a burping contest together. It was a nice, hot summer day, and we were sitting out on the deck, watching the sky, having a grand old time, listening to the dogs bark. She pours some sparkling lemonade, and she accidentally burps. She then drinks another sip. Burps again. Third sip, she burps five times in a row. We both laughed, and then I started to burp. I guess that's how the contest started.

This moment still makes me smile, because it was one of the few moments my mom and I had a lot of fun together. Most of the time, it's work, and stress (especially in my early child hood). Now that I am growing up and such, there is not much stress anymore, everything is going the way it goes. She expects me to work hard to get good grades, and I have been trying to live up to those expectations for quite a while, so it is not a strange feeling to me. it was just one of those days where we were both care free...she didn't have to work so hard just to earn some money.

How about you guys?

You're mom sounds awesome, haha. My story is a bit long though.

There's a bit of a back story to one moment that still makes me smile. I was once a very timid 3rd grader who went to a christian academy school(where they still paddled disobedient children). Though I loved candy, my parents thought it necessary to prohibit certain amounts of candy or chocolate, they said it was kind of a Jekyll and Hyde problem. Anyway, it was a VERY special occasion when my parents would give me money to buy a cookies n' cream hershies bar at school... my FAVORITE edible thing at that point in my life. One of these special days, at the end of the school day, when we were waiting to be picked up by our parents. I was standing there with my book bag and a very precious candy bar that I would divide up and ration it out(I would like to point out that my family is by no means a poor family)... Then came up a well known, and well-hated 5th grader, who was about two heads taller than me and wearing flip-flops who snatched my precious out of my hand, threw it to the ground and STOMPED on it!

Before I could even process what had happened, I had already slammed by very heavy book bag on his bare toes, and swiftly punched him right in the nose. It always makes me happy when I remember seeing the blood gushing out of his nose while holding his newly sprained foot, as my astonished parents pulled up to see this happen. I got a nice paddling from both the school and my parents, but it was completely worth it.

I remember back in the 8th grade, I was standing on the lunch line with a friend. We were by the wall and the top half of a poster unsticked from the wall and covered his face. He plastered the poster back on the wall, but it kept happening, about 5 times in total and it was so funny.

I smile remembering my first day of kindergarten when the teacher read us a story and let us draw and color. It's one of the few clear, distinct memories I have of a time long past.

I would say looking back to my first crush in year 6 (7th grade for non brits), I am not sure exactly what it was but all I could think about was her. Even though I don't have many clear memories about her and I haven't really seen her much since but just thinking back brings a smile to my self.

honestly not a day goes by where I don't think about things from the past that make me smile. My daughter being born and holding her for the first time. Any of her first like her first step and such. Remembering fun times with my friends. Achievement I have made in my life. There are way to many to point them all out but I think it is good and healthy to remember the good times for what they were and relive them as much as possible.
