Its stats are horrible.... but at least it's a shiny! I got it through pokeradar chaining. The pokeradar becomes available after beating the Champion. you get it from the guy in the upper right corner of the 2nd floor of Sycamore's lab. Hopefully I can actually get a couple of 6th gen shinies. Has anyone else caught a shiny yet? 

Also, since this is my first shiny of the new gen, I'm keeping it. If I get any shinies I don't care for, they're up for trade.

mourinhosgum : I've actually had at least one shiny in each gen since shinies were introduced. Some I lost when I had to give up my games, & some I lost when I got bit by the restart bug & restarted my game. Luckily shinies are easier to catch this gen but at the same time, it's a little disappointing since they aren't as rare.

Lucky you XD, I haven't caught a shiny in a while since 4th gen. I have only caught a few in all of the pokemon games that have come out. Most of the time I really don't train the shiny pokemon unless they are a good pokemon with good stats, like in your case, slowpoke's stats are terrible.

I usually keep all of the shiny pokemon I get because they are rare and I wouldn't want to get rid of it and give it to someone else. So i am glad you found one. I hope to get a 6th gen shiny as well. So congrats and wish me luck on getting one!

Surgiac : my sister found a shiny magikarp doing that. Catch a gulpin or inkay. As their abilitys are suction cup and sticky hold. So you almost always get bites.

I am planning on doing poke-radar chains, however I want to run in a random one first. I have caught at least one random shiny in every game I've played so far, (in diamond it went up to 8) and I want X to continue the chain. I really want a shiny honedge, aegislash looks great as a shiny.

FunnyFurret : Your only hope is to get lucky searching, to breed a shiny Honedge, or for an event that has a shiny Honedge to take place. You can't use the Pokeradar in the really tall grass where Honedge is found. You can only do it in the shorter grass & Honedge is only found on Route 6.

FunnyFurret : Another way is doing the masuda method. Which is breeding a pokemon with a pokemon from a different counrty. Let's say a canadian ditto breeds with a japanese honedge which i have.
Also, since after game i am going to try to be doing that if i  get two shinys i will give you one. It is like a 1/1000 chance doing it that way

My first and only one so far was Green Golbat, that sucked because I already had normal Crobat so it was pretty useless, but still I catched that.

I caught it from Victory road in Pokémon Heart Gold.

I have played Pokémon games about 10 years or something like that and seen / caught only one shiny, so guess I have pretty bad luck with those things.
