You use space on your pc if you use the rgr plugin.
I prefer to use emulators on my iPod. I might not always be online so I wouldn't be able to play games on vizzed sometimes. Plus holding the game in your hand feels more comfortable than a computer.

Emulators are good to have in case you don't have a source of Internet. However I am finding that the Vizzed is really good and if you lose Internet wile you game is up it doesn't effect anything to what I have noticed. So in the end I have found Vizzed to be the way I go now.

Offline Emulators; Now I'd choose them over vizzed for a few reasons; one is mentioned above my post.

2) You can full screen them, with the rgr plugin you simply cannot.

3) Less lag; For games like Zelda oot, and others.

4) Doesn't require you to be online all the time for it to work, and no having to wait for site to get fixed just to play some of the games, No offense.

SuperCrash64 :  You can full screen a lot of the emulators on vizzed, just hit alt-enter.  Also with some like the nesI have to have the chatbox there or it won't fullscreen.

There are still reasons for each which is why I like a combination of vizzed emu and desktop emu.

PokemonGuy :  Are you talking about KFusion, it is a Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X emulator all in one?  That thing is awesome.

I am closing this thread for a number of reasons. Mainly because there are way too many this vs that threads...and if people are responding to it, it probably means that they prefer Vizzed.com

Also many of the emulators referred to in this thread are used by the RGR plugin.

I prefer Vizzed. If I were more interested in other types of games (Or wanted play PSX and not spend 50k viz) I would get a desktop emulator. I for the most part own all the games I want to play, so I never really wanted to have an emulator. And I just think Vizzed is easier, well, it is for me anyway.

I use the online emulators of Vizzed. For me they are all better than the ones I have used. These just seem to work better than the downloaded ones even if they are similar or almost replicas. I like how you do not have to take up all of this memory with all of the roms and emulators that you would when not using vizzed because in the long term all of these files will slow down your computer. To be fair vizzed also takes up memory but only save data which is infact very useful. The second problem I have with the Vizzed Retro Game Room is of course the dreaded Nintendo 64 emulators. They are quite sucky but then again they are reasonably powerful games to create the emulator to handle. I have used better N64 emulators offline but to be honest I still prefer using Vizzed, I mean the Retro Game Room is there, it is a shame hardly any of  us forum fans do not even use it! I mean I have only seen a few users trusted plus and some Ex trusted users as well but there should be more. There seems to be no balance at all. Now I am going to shut up because I am ranting and begin to rant off topic!!

earthwarrior : I never knew you could get emulators on an iPod I just thought you could just get a few ports of retro classics like Sonic CD. And well that is all I have seen...

Vizzed emulators are pretty good, I have gotten some important roms to run using vizzed that I couldn't with my own emulators.  Examples are Sega CD version of mortal kombat I I wanted that for so long, also Virtua Racing wouldn't work either.  I think the more emulators out there the better, well usually anyway.
