I know you're probably thinking that it's a typo. Nope. Redbox is a DVD kiosk that gives you a ton of movies. It's just $1 per movie. Redbox charges you $1 per movie per day.

So if you rent a movie, you'll be charged $1 that day. If you have it out for another day, you'll be charged another dollar. You'll be charged $1 a day everyday until you return the movie (1 dollar until $25 anyway). You can return the movies at any Redbox kiosk.

A new thing at Redbox are Blu-Ray rentals. That means that you can enjoy the full and crisp HD 1080p quality at Redbox. BR(Blu-Ray) rentals are also just $1. Do know that BR rentals are new and at only select Walmart locations. In other words, they are few and far in-between.

My family's been using Redbox for a few months now. It's very convenient, fast, and cheap. It's much better than $5 for a DVD for a 2 day rental at Blockbuster!

Walmart gets enough money as it is, help support domestic movie stores instead or they will end up driving everyone out of business, which they basically already have done. I understand people want stuff cheap but come on WalMart has done enough to kill the economy as it is. Now blockbuster will be on the verge of going out of business and many more jobs lost... Those few extra bucks can help pay for someone elses salary. While it might look good as being a $1, think of who it is really hurting and the ripple effect it sends through our world.

The cheaper stuff is, the more money people have to spend on other stuff. If people are continuesly buying from places that like to take advantage of our wallets than we'll have less money to spend on other stuff and that in return is what hurts our economy. Walmart if anything is saving our economy by making more things available so more things are being sold (in return, more people are keeping their jobs because more companies are than producing stuff that is getting sold like crazy at walmart).

$1 DVD rental is an awesome deal, and $1 for Blu-ray is even better. If blockbuster wants to compete, they can lower their prices but they don't, they instead would rather charge insane prices. If blockbuster would just lower their prices, more people would go to them and probably less people would pirate movies on the internet. I haven't used the Walmart rental service yet but they have a kiosk at my near by Walmart.

Well the problem with Walmart is they are replacing human labor with machines. They are taking away jobs domestically and creating jobs in other countries which is what is killing our economy. So basically every sale they make puts us into dept that much further with other countries. Most of their products are outsourced from Asia, which enables them to sell dirt cheap and run domestic made products and businesses out of business.

Consumer base yea they help but business wise domestically... they are killing lots of good business off. Remember how good our economy was before when stuff was more expensive? Now look at the mess we are in cause of dirt cheap products.

Well you can't blame just walmart selling some products made by other countries, every store does it.

The bigger problem is people have to stop buying foreign. Stop supporting foreign companies, stop buying foreign vehicles, etc.

For example, buying an X-Box 360 over a Nintendo Wii or Sony Playstation is good for our economy since Microsoft is an American company while Sony and Nintendo are Japanese.

I had a membership with blockbuster though and it's actually a lot cheaper to get their $25 a month membership which lets you rent as many movies as you want (but only 1 at a time). Keep in mind though, with Blockbuster, their online rental service is probably ran by more computers than humans so they're doing the same thing.

I won't be around for much longer than 80 or 90 more years, and I'm pretty sure Armageddon won't happen just because I decided to rent a couple of movies for a buck or two when I wasn't even an Adult. :/

And besides, America is boned anyways, in my opinion.

I'd dare any President to bring you guys out of that (What is it now, 8 Trillion?) debt.

I understand your logic neyro but still, I feel bad for the people who are loosing jobs cause of it If you had a job at Blockbuster and depended on it and were told that it wouldn't exist by next week wouldn't that be a bit depressing? Most of the labor jobs will be taken by machines leaving you no other choice then to live on the street? This doesn't go for blockbuster only it goes for everyones jobs whether your customer service, or a web developer, or whatever, jobs will deplete and rise of the machines or foreign entities will take over your salaries. Some of you might not be concerned about it but I am.
