Asking because as a bisexual, I have a crush on a girl in my lab class. I just kinda developed this crush recently. She's friends with a group of other girls in our class too.
I never saw any of them around campus so far. Just in class. But who knows. Every day brings something new.
So how can I make friends with her & maybe even that group? I already met one of them because one of them was my lab partner before my friend transferred in.
Would it be weird if I got a seat next to them in lecture class and asked them about something our professor said if I didn't understand, honestly, since I have never done so before?
Its chemistry so there's lecture and lab on different days of the week.

You always bring up bisexuality in your posts. You realize that doesn't mean anything when you're talking about finding people you like. It doesn't change any facts. If you like guys, great. If you like girls, that's neat. If you like both, you're opening up the playbook. But it doesn't matter when you discuss one specific person.

You make friends by talking outside of class. Walk with her, ask her some questions, and see what her answers are. Early on, you'll get a feel for her by her reaction to you. She may reject you or she may talk and hang out. Make a joke out of the class and ask when she studies. The danger of asking class info is she may not know and she'd be embarrassed to talk about it. Try suggesting meeting up to study if she's interested.

Go from there. Good luck.

I guess you should try like all the people who have crushes should do. Go and find out if you two even have anything in common. And the only way to do that is by going and have a chat.

Would it be weird? Just do it and find out for yourself. Who knows, her barn doors might not swing that way but you would have a friend, or you might find out she was just not something you were looking for anyway. Or she could be the love of your life. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

You can simply make friends with her and the group by simply talking to her and them. See them in class or sometime in school and ask about them. See if they share similar interests. Maybe they will be worth being friends with.

You can ask them about something the professor said if you didn't understand if you want. I don't think it's weird.

I would start off with trying to work with her in Science lessons, that way you will interact and talk with her. From that you can get to know her more and you should feel more confident talking. Try to do similar things to the girls in her group so you can gain respect from all of them and then you should get into the friend group and of course be friends with the girl you like.
