I was just getting ready to submit a reply in one of my threads and I like to preview them before I submit. The summons were going to fail and I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!

So, I thought that I would cheat and make a test reply to another thread and then preview it and see if there is a code to force the summons. The only problem is every time I tried summoning in any other thread, it wouldn't take. I tried switching layouts and previewing replies to threads in other forums with no luck. 

First, does anyone know why this is happening? Second, is there a tag to force a summons?

geeogree : I like to preview my posts sometimes.  If you copy paste stuff, for example, the formatting becomes quite weird.  Also, sometimes the formatting doesn't show up as you intended it to.  This usually occurs when you do various things like adding bolds, underlines, and colors.  There have been times when I wanted to make ONE line a certain color, but then the whole post afterwards remains that color.... no matter how much editing I do to try and fix it.  If I preview the post. I can see if I need to just copy paste the material into a fresh post to see if the issue resolves itself.

I preview posts if I add an image or if I copy/paste something. I don't like it when images are gigantic and can't be viewed inside of my post box without scrolling to the right. Basically, I only preview to confirm that right scrolling isn't necessary for the reader.

Previewing gives me the opportunity to stop my layout.

If you click to edit a post that you used to summon someone correctly, you will see the code used in front of your text. But to use it, you need to know their profile id...which really would make things more difficult than they need to be.
