Oh dear....get it fixed soon hunter....and I hope it will get better once you do that.....

Man, I had that before! It only took a day for me to get it fixed. For anyone that don't know, the FBI virus is its a virus that pops up saying that the FBI has been watching your activities and you have to pay them 200 bucks with a red dot card (or what ever its called) within like 78 hours. It looks very real and it locks your computer.

Ugh... I hate that virus. It's fake, obviously, and you know that. It's ridiculous what people do just for money. I heard there was actually a way to fix it without spending so much money, but no one ever told me what that way was. If I can find it, I'll try to edit it into my post.

But, yeah, that sucks. Hope to see you soon.

Why would you pay money to fix a virus?? You realize that you can just re-install Windows and blast off any sort of virus/trojans on your HD...right?

Anyways sorry to hear about your trouble. This is why it's always important to back up for files. I would also start trying to avoid going to whatever sites or downloading whatever files are giving you these torrents.

Also get some anti-virus software. Most available would block the FBI virus since that's been around for awhile.

Like Jordanv78 said, get an anti-Virus. Most useful (Updates WITH Windows update) would be Microsoft Security Essentials. I use it. I Never get viruses, but if I do, it lets me know. Most viruses come from either porn sites, torrent sites or sites that require a survey to fill our before downloading a .exe file, which is prolly spyware in the first place. If and when you get this virus fixed, please, and I'm begging you, to get an anti virus. 

Also, I've noticed A LOT of people on this site have had similar problems. It might be similar game sites? Or maybe a external link from Facebook, because a lot of peoples accounts get hacked and spam people with unneeded links to unuseful sites. Its aggravating. I almost got my account compensated because I clicked on one just to see what would happen. 

On top of that, I would recommend you re-install Windows as A LAST RESORT. If you cant get it fixed, first make sure that you don't have a second partition on your computer, and also remove any removable disks so the virus wont spread. Once fixed, try to remember what sites you went on when this virus occurred and go to those sites to narrow down where the virus came from. Then fix again and remember NEVER TO GO TO THAT SITE AGAIN!

hunter31626 : That's not true man. I never get these viruses...also I have been working in the IT field for like 15 years. FBI Virus is just your standard malware using the Trojan.ramsomlock So I know what I'm talking about with regards to this. My advice is to get better Anti Virus software. Look, I'm just trying to help you. No need to get upset. Also I was just trying to tell you that you don't need to spend money to fix your computer because all you have to do is re-install windows or download widely available removal tools. It's easily removed. Just google FBI virus removal.

If you don't want my advice, fine. But no need to be rude about it. I know that having Viruses can be frustrating. That's why I was lending my expertise for help.
