For me it would be a toss up between steel and electric. Because I just love electric pokemon, and steel types have the most resistances. So steel types would be a good choice for keeping my preferred team alive.

Well it completely depends on the game. I would choose a type that is very abundant in that game.

Local Mods : Move to Pokemon forum please? Thanks!

A monolocke eh? So just one pokemon all the way through, is that what it is? I have heard of nuzlocke before, but I haven't heard of this. I would probably pick a dragon type pokemon because they  are strong and they have great stats and moves to choose from, but again as tgags said, it all really depends on the pokemon game being played.

But I don;t really do these types of things like nuzlockes or monolockes, I mostly just play the game and train a variety of pokemon and it works out pretty well!

Good question though, if I really had to choose just one type of pokemon, I would go with a dragon type pokemon just because of their insanely powerful moves and strong stats.

I need to clarify, I mean just one type of pokemon. As in all of your pokemon at least have to have that one typing. You can specify a game or a generation if you want to.
