Is using a Bluetooth keyboard with an iPad the same as a laptop?

I am currently using a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad and I can say that it is definitely not the same as a laptop. I am ten times faster at typing on a laptop. The touch screen instead of the mouse is annoying too. I hate it, I would much rather use a laptop.

What do you think?

I dislike typing on the iPad as well. I do not like the touch screen as the "equivalent" of a mouse, just like you as well. 

Me personally, I do not like having to constantly switch back and forth between the numbers and letters and special characters...on a laptop, every key is presented to you. 

Much more control when tying on the laptop too...not much with the iPad.

I pretty much have the same views as you, minus the blue tooth keyboard.

Is that just basically a wireless Apple keyboard? If so, my friend has one, and he really likes it. I don't. 

It feels weird, the screen to keyboard size ratio is a bit awkward, since I have an iPad mini. He has a regular iPad, so he's fine.
