Just before you pick your starter in X/Y, your friends give you a nickname in addition to your normal name & that's what they call you throughout the game. I admit I've tried a few names, one of which is SupremeRuler(yes, this fits). What do you have them call you? Is it your regular name, one of their suggestions, something normal, or something off the wall?

I would make them call me something funny. Just to bring some spice and fun into the game. I would not aim to make them call me the same name I named my trainer...that's just boring! (in my opinion)

Oh i actually didn't know you could pick one besides their suggestions.
My first play through they said M Meister which just made it look like they are stuttering and the second time i just went with big M For no reason.

One of the names they give the female trainer is -kins. I go by Surgiac in the game so it looks like they're saying Skins instead of S-kins so I never go with that one.

My real name starts with a C, and when I started the game, tierno suggested calling me c- meiser and then there were also the nickname choices of big and little c, so I picked big C which I think is cool, and it is funny sometimes when they call me by that name. So I just kind of went by one of their suggestions. 

I usually try to make the nickname I go by in pokemon games exciting, because as sidewinder said, just going by your regular name is kind of boring. So that is why I try to spice it up and try to think of a cool, unique nickname instead of something plain and boring because that is just no fun. Good question by the way!
