The other day I was looking threw all my TCG cards that I used to collect back in elementary school, and that's when I found my first Pokémon card I ever got. Graveler.

I remember back in second grade when all the kids on my bus were trading their cards; I felt excluded because I did not have any of the cards because I never knew where to get them, until one day. One of the kids in the seats next to me was showing off his cards and I was looking over the seat at his cards when he noticed me. He asked if I wanted one. At first I was shocked for multiple reasons, the kid talking to me was a fifth grader and high up on the social ladder, and secondly he was wanting to give me one of his cards. I of course said yes but was expecting some terrible card, like an energy or magikarp, but instead he gave me a Fossil Set Graveler. I was ecstatic and I ran all the way home from me stop to show my parents the card I got, of course they didn't care but I sure did.

Overall this card is what got me into Pokémon and it was one of the first nice things someone has done to me. So I wanted to know what was the first card you got in the TCG? 
 

Kiodahawk : I actually had three Pokémon cards at first not one so this will be a super tough question. The first one I actually looked at was (out of the three) was meowth. I don't really play the game I just collect them for the fun of it (and to see if I can get an ultra rare card).

I know my brother had some pokemon cards. But i know when i first started getting them my mom used to buy packs for me and my sister.
So i looked through my drawer and found my brothers. One that i remember and still have is a zapdos with its name scribbled out and saying "crapdos".

My first card was a very old Torchic that I got at Target. From there on, I was in love with the games and cards.

My first card was a Golem. The really good Golem with the weird picture. I believe it was a card from generation 2, but it may have been from 1.

In game my first card is squirtle but the other card I got my friend gave it to me and when we are playing because he helped me to play some pokemon.

The first pokemon card I ever got was a regigigas. I actually got one of those tins of pokemon cards and I got a whole bunch of cool ones, but regigigas was one of the special legendary ones and it was at the top. So if you want to think about it that way, I got a whole bunch of pokemon cards all at once.

I remember those days...those were the good days of trading pokemon cards with friends and collecting them, now all they ever talk about is GTA V and they never shut up about it. I still have about 400 cards, not including the energy and special trainer ones.
Good question man, this brings back memories, I bet if I sold all of my cards, I would make a good amount of money because I have like 20 level X cards. But my very first was a regigias level X in one of those tins.

My first Pokémon card ever was  Jigglypuff.  I loved those cute little things ever.  I only collected the cards, never really played the game,  My brother played it really often though..even did tournaments and such..I was never able to keep up interest.    I have always been more of a Magic the Gathering person..

The first Pokemon card that I received was a Base Set Abra. Could be one of the reasons why my love for the final evolution grew. After my first card about a month later I had about 600+ cards. The money I had saved up when I was younger was gone, for the obsession of catching them all, in this case collecting them all. I don't have the same interest that I once had when I was younger, since Pokemon was kind of fading away in my life. A year ago I was looking at my binder of Pokemon cards, while the rest had a safe place in my shoe box. Came upon my favorite card with my favorite Pokemon, Base Set Alakazam. Since then I have been searching for any and all types of Alakazam's that were in the TCG. Currently looking for an Alakazam 4 Lv X.
