Do you open bottles and such with you right hand or left hand and also state what hand you are dominant if not both.

I've been wondering lately I'm right handed but I open everything with my left hand and for the life of me it's almost impossible to open anything with my right if I try. I noticed this when I watched my mother open something with her right hand and she's right handed so I wonder why I learned to open with my left all my life.

I'm left handed, so I tend to do most things with my left hand, including opening bottles. Whenever I'm on the phone I always hold the phone up to my left ear, whereas most people use their right ear. Also, I always hold my toothbrush, kitchen utensils, etc. with my left hand. I am fairly decent at writing with my right hand, though.

I usually open bottles with my right hand since I am right handed. I use my right hand for everything except eating with chopsticks though (I use my left hand for that). I can open with my left hand though.

Yeah I use my right hand as well when it comes to opening things. I will usually hold it down with my left hand and then unscrew the bottle with my right hand. It is just normal for me to open things with my right hand. I can open them with both hands, but I can do it much more fluently and quickly with my right hand.

So because I am a righty, it is normal for me to hold and open most things with my right hand and it just feels normal doing it that way. Although i can open it with my left hand, but not as efficiently or quickly.

Oh and by the way when I said I can't open anything with my right hand I mean when it's sealed. If unsealed I can still open it with my right hand, but sealed more than likely I won't be able to open it unless I use my left hand. If it makes any difference my left hand is almost a centimeter bigger than my right hand,

I'm ambidextrous, which means both of my hands are dominant. I actually taught myself to be ambidextrous when I was around 7 or 8 years old.

I use both hands for opening bottles. If it's one of the twist-off ones, my left. If it's one of those pop-off ones, my right hand.

It just feels right in which hand I use it.

I do notice that sometimes, if you are opening something like a jar, you can sometimes use your right hand if you are right handed to hold the jar in place. Because that hand is stronger, it would be easier to open with is not moving around.
