This is basically an addon feature to the video game collection feature. Each game in the Video Game Room will now show a list of all the users who own that game. It'll say whether the user is willing to borrow it, trade it or sell it. More importantly, it also says whether the user wants to play it online and if they've entered their online name to their profile, it'll also display their online name.


UPDATE: When you add a game to your collection that you want to play online, every user who also wants to play that game online will receive a notification that you added that game to your collection. So in other words, if you add a game to your own collection that you really want to play online with someone, you'll get a notification every time someone else does as well.


The best part about this feature is, of course, the fact that it shows who else plays the game online. If you're looking for an online buddy for a specific game, you'll be able to find one! Whether it be a game that is dead and is hard to find someone online to play with, or it's a game that just came out, this feature will help gamers connect with each other.


This feature idea was one that I've had since I thought of the Game Collection idea but with the release of Pokemon X and Y, that inspired me to work on it sooner and for that reason, I've added Pokemon X and Y to the VGR so if you own the games, be sure to add them to your collection and also be sure to add to your profile what your 3DS online name is.

There's a small flaw, though nothing devastating. We all know that Pokémon X and Y can play with each other, so why not make the list of users who own them mutual to both game pages?

aww, I guess my 'guess' was wrong. haha!  Still though, I think I actually like this better. GREAT idea!  That's super cool and really lets users interact and connect on yet another level.

It's great to see this feature coming along. Kudos as always. However, I am unable to find the "play online" button on retro games. Is this a bug or am I looking in the wrong place?

Darkpower508 : That mean you are in the VGR. All the games on the site should be on the VGR, but you have to go to the RGR to actually play the games online. I thought the same thing before.

Great idea! For getting people together for online play, it's a huge help. 

patar4097 : A great reference. However, I'm sorry for not fully explaining myself. I want to show in my collection that I want to play this game online, and have that box ticked so others can see I want to play (let's say Contra) online. I can't seem to see an option to show this for my copy of Contra, on the VGR, the RGR, my collection where I click 'edit', or anywhere. Yet on the Contra page of the VGR, I see someone else has "wants to play online" next to their copy, and not my own D:

Darkpower508 : I believe the "play online" button is only on games that you can play online OUTSIDE of Vizzed such as PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, etc.

I just tested it out with a game I know only I currently own, since I had it added to the database yesterday.

Wonderful, this is actually the best new feature I have seen since I have come back. Now if only more people would update their collections this could be wonderful.

Tails the Fox : Not really possible without combining the game pages into a single page and I wouldn't like doing that because that would bring up a lot of other issues. It's actually kinda nice that they're separate pages because since I have Pokemon X, it's nice to know who has Pokemon Y for trading purposes.

Darkpower508 : Contra for the NES isn't an online game, the NES never had online capabilities.

legacyme3 : Yeah I'll have to come up with some ideas to get users to add their game collections. The overall feature is still in beta but once it's all finished, I'll probably send out a newsletter letting users know of the new feature.

Davideo7 : Technically yes. Number 718 in the Pokédex is Zygarde, coming after Xerneas and Yveltal.

Tails the Fox : They could just pull a pokemon black and white and make X and Y 2.lol

But if there is i hope that Z has more post game quests and better mega evos.

mourinhosgum : Usually ever generation has a 3rd game. Blue and Red had Yellow for example. I don't know much about Black and White but wasn't Black and White 2 part of a different generation than Black and White?

It just had a couple new gyms and new characters and new main legendary.

Davideo7 : While that is true, I was referring to the Netplay item, and playing that game with others using Netplay. I must have got the message wrong and got confused with them then.

Tails the Fox : Quite sad that some people didn't really like bw2 more than others.

Personally i thought gen 4 was the worst gen. Not gen 5.

I liked bw2 and enjoyed the medals part of it and found it was a nice way to incorporate achievements into the game.
Also, i am quite happy they put medals in X and Y too.
