There is no love at first sight.  Love is a feeling you have when you connect emotionally, physically, and intellectually with a person.  You can see someone insanely attractive but you know nothing about them.  Maybe they hate Jews.  Maybe they torture little animals.  Maybe they have four or five boyfriends all at once and juggle them around.

You simply don't know, can't know, and that's why you can't be in love.

I do not believe in "love at first sight".
What people misunderstand about love is thus:
Love is friendship; and friendship equates to three basic principles:
Respect
Honesty
Equality

(Hence why so many relations nowadays fail because they cover up their problems with "affections" instead of bettering their friendship between one another)

Now.. I do believe in what I call the "tug at first sight".

I'm completely in agreement with Juliet.  I think that the concept of 'love at first sight' is preposterous.  Of course... the problem is that 'love' doesn't really have a SET definition and it not something similar to a FACT.  Talking from a secular perspective here, love is defined differently by each individual.  To me PERSONALLY, 'love' could not feasibly happen based off a look.  Nor could it happen based off a billion looks.  To me, love is much deeper, and transcends much further... than simple observations.

In a way, I don't really believe love at the first sight, normally to my point of view, it'll normally take like a couple times to be with your friend, and once you spend enough time, then you'll start felling some love.

Nope as of now I don't believe in love at first site. I used to believe in it but that left me when different things in my life happened. I want to get to know that person and see who they really are inside. I can't just see somebody and know.. I guess it would be possible but it is a very rare thing to see. The way i see it what people call love at first sight is just sexual attraction. You see an attractive person and you're (sort of) aroused. I don't see how you can start loving someone just by seeing them once. Love is too complicated of a feeling to be felt from such a shallow interaction. Not that what I wrote is to be taken too much into consideration, I've never felt love myself so...

The reason it's called love is because it's a unique feeling since different people are attracted to different traits. It might be a misnomer, but it's just a phrase to describe a real feeling. So, yes, I do believe in it. (And it doesn't necessary have to be literally "at first sight" either.
