I think the Metroid games have improved as time has gone on.  However, the one exception is Metroid: Other M.  While it showed improvement graphically in some aspects and benifetted from a more fleshed out story, the gameplay was highly simplistic compared to other games, and less engaging, in some regards.  I haven't played any of the Prime series except Corruption, and the gameplay difference between the two games makes Other M look like a cripple.  I understand that Nintendo wanted to make the series more accessible, and I'm glad they did.  Yet I can't wait for Metroid to return to Prime-era quality and challenge.

I think that metroid games has gotten worse cuz the early games was all about searching and find items with large environment to explore
I did see metroid prime i think it great for a video-game..I really hope that metroid returns to it original gameplay...And make
poeple get stuck because they still didn't find long beam yet...

I think that they have got a lot worse. I have played many of them.. and I enjoyed a lot of the older ones better than the newer ones.. it seems this happens a lot with techonolgy and gaming in my opinion.
