I just thought of this now.

You see every once in a while, I see users post the same replies of answers or advice.

For an example Help thread: Post #1 You need to have windows system in order to use rgr, it won't work on mac.

Post #2 You need to have windows system in order to use rgr, it won't work on mac. hope this helps.

^an example of the same thing the above user already said.

For an example Review thread: Post #1 You need to have far more detail, not bad for a start though.

Post #2 this was a good review, but you need to have far more detail in to make it better.

^again basically the same thing, as the poster above said.

This happens very commonly.

So this idea would involve the post system. it's simple, Instead of posting the same thing that some user already said. How about just uprate it instead of repeating it? Do you see where am I going with this?

If not: I'll put it in short. What if we use the post rating system to like a post if it helps with a problem, instead of repeating what has been said.

Benefits: It can reduce a bunch of spam replies that say the same thing, and it can benefit you a little bit as well.

Thoughts Anyone?

I... think I see where you're going with this?

To be honest, people only repeat for post count. They don't really care, but they just want to up their EXP and post count. This idea is good, but won't change anything.

Secondarily, we have this already, if I get what you're saying. We already have a Like or Dislike system. The person who asked the question can just take a quick glance at that, and poof, they can see.

So, really, we already have this. But it isn't working as well as supposed to.

Well this is what you should be doing anyway. This happens to threads a lot of times and they know they shouldn't post the same thing. I don't really think users will stop doing this unless there were stricter rules or something.

That is a pretty good idea. Even though people may not follow it all the time though. And I doubt there is anyway to automatically force people to follow that. But I hope a solution to the repeating posts thing gets solved. but still, awesome suggestion!

This is a decent Idea, I am not sure, as mohammedroxx said, that many people would follow this system though. I can see where you are going with this idea though, I just don't think that many people would take it very seriously though.

People will do anything to get an easy post, especially now during the TDV, whether someone has answered a problem or not or has made a suggestion about something, I can guarantee that someone else will say the exact same thing just to make an easy post. I like your idea for this, but I just don't think people would really follow it. They are desperate to get an easy post whenever they can so this is one of the techniques they do to do that, just repeat what someone else has already said.
