Yea... So, hey guys... I sometimes wonder... At times, I feel so addicted to getting a jersey for the tdv... but I just want to know... Why? I can't even answer the question myself but I'm still addicted to competing somehow... Even though they are just username designs. I just can't explain it. Can anyone explain this to me please? And if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it please.

Well you might be addicted to getting jerseys probably because of the tdv competition and all that. 

Yeah I think it is just the Viz and the recognition that would motivate you to post more and earn a jersey. When I had the rainbow jersey before zanderlex took it from me, I got about 3 or 4 tp. I hope to get it back from him though.

The reason is simple, you just want the recognition, the Viz and the points. I can't really post that much for blue or green, so I specialize in yellow since I have detailed posts and I usually do well in yellow. 


If I had more time I would post more to get more points, but I am kind of taking it easy. I really want to re obtain rainbow back. But that is why I think you are addicted to getting a jersey. 

I guess it was a slow week when I got mine that one time.

You can also call me a "Jersey Addict" like most of the users here. I think most of the users here are also "Jersey Addicts" because they like to be popular at some way. This Jersey thing could make them popular in the board because users could see their names differently and also, claiming a Jersey of any color would be a big achievement because you will be competing with other users across the globe and not knowing who will win at the end.

Also, I think that there are few advantages of getting a jersey. Like getting more viz, you can get many Viz from posting a lot, and TdV is all about posting on the forums. So, TdV = Post A lot = More Viz, hope I made this clear.

Another factor is the Post Count System. If you are competing for the TdV, you will be posting a lot, right? And if you post a lot, your post count would increase depending on how much you post. So this would be a big reason why many of us are Jersey Addicts. So, TdV = Post A lot = Increase in Post Count.

Popularity is also a reason why people are joining the TdV. If people see your username colored, they will eventually recognize your name and that way you will get very popular. And being popular is really a good way on having many friends, and that brings me to my last reason.

Having many friends, while competing for the TdV you will get many friends. Example, if you are in a close fight for a Jersey between another user, you will be commenting in each others profile for some reason about the TdV competition, and that will eventually become friendship. And FRIENDSHIP is important if you want to enjoy your stay here.

For me there are many reason why many are becoming a jersey addict, and they are:
Popularity and Respect
Viz Balance
Increase in Post Count; and
Friendship

Maybe you're just a competitive person. I know I am; that's why I'm still participating in the TdV, even though I know I don't have a chance of making it on the leader board. lol
