One is a cutesy, ultra violent, platformer about a...thing that can copy the powers of whatever he eats and goes around fighting the obese penguin dictator who rules dreamland. And the other is a dark, sci-fi, maze filled, 2/3D shooter. Starring a twice orphaned bounty hunter in a Iron Man esque power suit made by an extinct race of aliens who trained her, and she fights Space Pirates. Basically, Metroid is darker, and harder than Kirby is.

I think a use of this summarized it quite nicely and hilariously as well. I think Metroid is a lot harder than kirby is and the story line is also a lot more dark and violent. I like how he described Kind Dedede as an obese penguin though XD that was funny.


But yeah, he basically summed it all up in a pretty accurate definition there, and I agree with it. The main difference is that kirby is more playful and cutesy, while metroid is much more serious, and challenging and dark. Those are pretty much the main differences I see between these games. Good question barathemos!
