Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is my 2nd favorite movie of all time and I have some random things for you.

The story starts about six months after the events of the first film.

The whole story of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a plot that Moriarty has set in motion long before the story starts, so the film is Holmes arriving at the end stages of that plan and trying to stop it.

Jared Harris landed the part of Moriarty at the very last minute. Shooting began a week after he found out the part was his.

Harris and Ritchie talked about the character of Moriarty and decided they didn’t want him to be the typical bad guy who gives a big speech toward the end of the movie laying out his plans, giving the good guy enough time to fix things. So with Moriarty, he never lays out what he’s trying to do and remains a mystery throughout the course of the film.

Harris says Moriarty is so manipulative that he doesn’t need to commit violence himself or kill people; he can get everyone to do what he needs to do.

They’ve discussed ideas for a third film, and if they’re lucky enough to make one, they’ll probably do it. But they don’t have specific plans.

I can't believe that they will actually make a third one. I have waited two years to hear about a possible sequel. They have not started yet, but Jude Law (Watson) said about a week ago that they want it to be better than the first two. I CAN'T WAIT.

I don't really like Sherlock Holmes. Sure, I love mysteries, but I just don't like Sherlock Holmes. I don't really know why, it just doesn't hold my interest very well. Not really a fan.

tgags123 : I could kind of say the same thing, because I hate the books and I have never seen any of the other shows or movies. The only thing  I like about these two movies is because of Robert Downey Jr. He is perfect for the part, and of course, he is super funny.

I have never really seen sherlock holmes to be honest, at least none o the new ones with robert downey jr. I hear that they are really good though. I think it is cool how you like it a lot and you decided to make a thread dedicated to it. If there is anyone who likes sherlock holmes in my family, it is my mother, she is crazy about it and she and my dad will go out and watch the movies. I have never seen them before, but based on what they and other people have said, I hear that they are a pretty good series and I think that I might try and go see one in the future. Maybe. I think it is cool that you made  a thread about it since you like the movies. 

A user of this : I never had a chance to see the Sherlock series. Is that the one that has Martin Freeman? I only know him from when I saw the Hobbit and I think he is an interesting actor.

zanderlex : Yeah that's the one with him. It's actually how he got the part of Bilbo. And Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes) is also in The Hobbit, he's Smaug.

A user of this : Cool, I had no idea that he was Smaug, maybe I should actually watch the movie instead of complaining about how much I don't like the Lord of the Rings stuff.

A user of this : Personally, which one do you like more? Do you prefer the BBC series, or the Downey/Law movies? What are some major differences?

I really never was a fan of this, but I guess I like it a bit. I like the theme, just not how they play it out.
