Have you read the book Wringer? Wringer is a popular book for young adults written by Jerry Spinelli. The book received many book awards due to the story and narration being clever. The story is about a town where people shoot pigeons. They wring the necks of the ones that did not die from the gun shot. But this one kid refuses to do so, making him a social outcast.

I've read the book and it's pretty dark. I made a thread about this topic because it's a famous book. It's a dark book, but it's still a fun read.

No I have never read this book before, believe it or not. It certainly sounds like it would be an interesting book to read. I might give it a shot and read it sometime. It sounds like it would be dark, I mean you are killing pigeons? What could be more dark than that? XD

But I may read it when I am an adult or at least in a  few years when I am older. It does sound like it would be an interesting book. I like dark books personally, so it is right up my ally. Don't spoil it, but did you think it was good? What would you score this book on a scale of 1 to 10?

PixelBrick : I loved that book. I read it about third grade, and it's written for kids older, so it really creeped me out. I remember I had nightmares about how the kid dreamt his hands turned to stone when he was supposed to wring the bird's neck. I loved the overall story.
