I've noticed that there are links to various websites (poetry websites, etc.). Is that really allowed? I'm just asking for verification because I, too, am a writer. I write stories, humorous pieces (hell, I wrote a piece that pokes fun of me because of my adoration of video game characters), poetry, etc., and I'm always looking for new audiences. Also, I haven't been here for a while now that I finally am working the equivalent of a full-time job so I really don't want to get in trouble just because of rules that might have changed or just haven't reviewed because of a work-related absence. Then, of course, I'm just used to following strict rules made by Google itself (and I mean, strict). I would just like to know what the policy about that is because I am also aware about spam...don't want to get busted for that either!

The idea is that we don't want other forums being advertised here. As far as I know, posting original content (stuff you've written) is fine. If you're wanting to share a poem someone else wrote, then just link us to the page. That way you're not gaining off of others work.

It sounds like you're writing your own stuff, and (as you can tell from the many poems posted here) you're allowed to share your poems on the site. Hope this helps!
