Hello.  So I got a new laptop and noticed that my saves from other games were gone.  I went back to the old laptop and they were still there.  Now I'm super paranoid about creating more than one save at a time.   Also it seems like Shining Force II has an issue with saving in-game.  I'm never sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I always just use the save state function.

But anyway, how exactly do game saves work (as detailed as possible) so I can feel comfortable playing more than one game at a time.

All the saves that you make with the plugin are stored on your computer under the Vizzed folder that was created upon installing the plugin. Because of that, you cannot access your files from another computer. To do that, the save files would have to be stored on Vizzed's server instead of your computer. Vizzed used to do that over a year ago.  But as hundreds of thousands of save files were made, it took too much space on the server, severely slowing it down. So David just had to do away with the feature. So your personal Vizzed folder on your computer is where all your game saves are stored.

Don't worry about making new saves. Since they aren't on your server, it won't erase any of the files you made on a different computer.

Thank you.  That's about as detailed as I could have asked for.  The fact that Shining Force has trouble saving in-game freaks me out, but this makes me feel better.  Thank you.

RedRing : It only saves the files on your computer. If you want to somehow transport the saves to your new computer, just use a SD card like I do, :p

I hope this helps a little!

rcarter2 : Wow that was a great explanation! I was just about to say something like that, but you beat me to it.

Local Mods : The question has been answered. And it was answered very well too!
