So as we all know in the anime Pokemon world Ash's rival is Gary (Until after Gary quits and follows in his grandfather's footsteps as a professor.) Now Gary Oak is definitely a fan favorite character because he was not just cocky but he always got all these cheerleaders with him, he had a very strong Pokemon team, and he was always ahead of the main character Ash. Now in the Kanto region and even in the Johto region we all know one fun fact about Gary Oak and that is all the Pokemon he had. The list was absolutely HUGE! And not only that but Pokemon he caught were always bigger and stronger than Ash's Pokemon.
So the point of this thread is for all of you to answer one question:
If Pokemon was real, what Pokemon would you have tried to catch and train?

Now the rules are:
1) Can't list more than 8 Pokemon per region because that would be spamming.
2) Notice this list is about what Pokemon you would try to catch and train. This does not mean list the 8 strongest Pokemon in each region.
