Before I download a ROM for the new Turbografix CD console in the RGR, I was wondering how it compares to the PlayStation. It has already been determined that the reason all of the PlayStation games lag when I try to play them is because of the age of my computer and it's outdated specifications. Just curious if anyone has any idea whether I will most likely have the same issue with the tgcd.

I've only played one game from it. The download time takes just as long as PSX games, but it isn't laggy for me. I have to warn you that majority of the games in tgcd are in Japanese though. You might not have a problem with it since the games aren't in 3D, unlike the PSX.

If anything, you can resell the game and get 75%(?) of your Viz back.

Mistress : I've already researched which games were released in English and which ones I might find engaging. Thanks for the heads up, though. I didn't think about the 3D factor but that might actually make a difference. You were also having problems with lag, weren't you? I guess I forgot!

If you plan on doing any game recordings for the TG-CD, be advised that some games will change resolutions on you. Fighting Street which is not on the games list is an example and Ryuuko no Ken is another one. RGR is designed to keep the resolution stable but if you plan on doing so on outside emulators it may be a problem with recording.
