Alright so yesterday I went to the Islanders vs. Devils preseason game, the first hockey game to ever be played at the Barclays Center. Before I get into the story, some background info. I went to the game with my mom, my brother, my cousin who is 26 named Steven, and my cousin who is 22 named Michael. Both of my cousins are very funny and make a lot of jokes. We ate at a restaurant named Juniors before they game. They are known for their cheesecakes. We were about 10 minutes late to the game. I will be writing part of the story in a dialogue type from to make it shorter.

Alright so the five of us make our way up to our seats. We get their and we see two kids, probably 15 and 16, sitting in our seats. They were only taking up one of our seats. So Steven goes to them and says "I think you need to move down one, you are in my seat" to which the kid replies "No, I think my friend just needs to go on the other side of me". Steven says "I don't care how you do it, just move over one. Kid: "Some people take their seats so seriously". Steven:"Well their are five of us, so we need five seats". So the kid finally moves over. Throughout the game he was making all sorts of obvious comments like "they need to shoot" and kept saying the names of all the players like no one else knew or something. So at the end of the first period, he gets up and goes to get food or go to the bathroom or something. They come back after missing like 7 minutes of the period already, with a bunch of food and drinks. More annoying comments and stuff. He gets up again at the end of the second period. He comes back late again. Steven: "Oh the annoying people are back.... and they have frickin plates." You know what they had on those plates? Cake. Yes, cake. At a hockey game. Steven decided to take a picture... and he forgot to turn of the flash. The kid was so into his cake that he didn't notice. So of course my two cousins start making all sorts of puns and jokes like "piece of cake" and jokes about cake-eater from The Mighty Ducks. Eventually the kid started to catch on, so Steven goes "I'm just going to come right out and say it, it is completely ridiculous for you to be eating cake at a hockey game." Kid: "I got it downstairs" Steven: "I don't care where you got it, I'm just letting you know how absurd it is" Kid: "There is a Juniors downstairs" Steven: "We were just at Juniors" Kid: "You didn't see that they had cake?" Steven: "No we were at the REAL Juniors, about 5 blocks from here."

So after the game we went to Steven's apartment and Michael got a phone call from our grandpa. He talked to him for a while, and of course he asked the question: "In your broad experience, have you every seen anyone eat cake at a sporting event before?" Grandpa: "Cake?" Michael: "Yes cake. More specifically red velvet with a chocolate drizzle." Grandpa: "No, what kind of person eats cake at a sporting event?"

So yeah. That's my story. Have you ever seen someone eat cake at a sporting event? Are you that kid that sat next to us?

I certainly would if it were offered, especially if it were carrot cake or that red velvet you described.  Cake...

I absolutely hate people like that. Especially when they take your seats and eat cake at a hockey game. Everybody knows that you always eat fried frog legs at a hockey game! Geez, people!

The same thing happened to me the other day... Sort of.  I went to the movies to watch World War Z (which is an amazing movie), and before the movie, there were ads. So, I took out my phone, started texting, stuff like that.

Well, for some reason, some obnoxious kids, around 10 or 11 years of age, sit next to me like they're some "gang". There were around 9 or 10 of them, I wanna say?

They look at my texts, what I'm doing, and all of that. When I tell them to stop, they do... for a moment. I start playing Injustice. One of the kids look over and say, "Dude, you really need to up your game. He's kicking your butt," with some rude tone of voice (even though I was winning the fight in the game).

I ignore him, as the movie was starting. Well, him and his friends just have to point out everything. Like, "OH MAN HE JUST BASHED HIS HEAD THROUGH THAT WINDOW" or "It's her birthday? Something's gonna happen!". One of them, who will obviously never become a doctor, says, "PEOPLE CAN'T HAVE RABIES THIS MOVIE IS BULL".

And they do that. All throughout the movie.

It was painful. I mean, most 10 to 11 year olds are cool, but, my god...

I've never gone to a sporting event, so my view is probably dismissive, but what's so wrong with that?

Obnoxious people. The bane of everyone's existence. Well, goodboy's story sounded like those kids were acting like snobs the way I see it...those people were nibbing over your shoulder, right?

But for tgag's story, CAKE AT A HOCKEY GAME? They stold your seats too, that is just mean, but he moved...but my reaction to your stories: "Those people are just obnoxious..."

goodboy : Sound like you went through lots of trouble (By the way try to sit in the most empty row as possible if you want privacy).

tgags123 : There's this stupid kid on my bus who is always complaining and it gets annoying, I have to sit in the front of him and his voice is just dreadful.
