As someone that has grown up playing video games, and always loves to hear about different/ new games to try out, i am curious as to what some of your favourite games are. they can be old or new, but i would prefer old because i find myself playing more retro games than i do new games. i think that it just has to deal with the nostalgia of having an uncomfortable controller in your hands and the really old and not-so-great quality of the graphics. So please feel free to tell me about some amazing that i should try out sometime. Some of my favourite games are: Earthbound, Mortal Kombat, Sim Ants, Poke'mon Snap, Poke'mon Stadium, Poke'mon Heart Gold, The legend of zelda, Ocarina of  Time, Majaro's mask, Skyward Sword, Super Mario, Sunshine, Party, Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Pikman, and Haunting Starring Poulterguy. these are just a few, but they are definitely those that are in my top.

Well my childhood currently isn't over so I'm still playing video games. If I were to pick any of my favorite games I played during my last 2 years it would be, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Times, Super Mario 64, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon light platinum.

B619ook : I love those games. those are definitely games that always be in my top choices. I love poke'mon, as well, but when it comes to the games, i always prefer card over cartridge. Yes, you get all of the adventure and rpg of it, but i think actually being able to meet people face to face and battling them is a lot more fun. I also think that my tendencies for the cards goes back to watching my brother at the tournaments, and always playing against him no matter how much i lost. I don't think people realize how much gaming effects their entire lives even if they only played them as a child, but i do know that my life has been completely effected by it and will always be surrounded by it.

AH! I just love all of those games!!! But come on, you so cannot forget the Devil May Cry series! The games are great, full of adventure and awesome monsters, and the anime is freaking cool, too! And i know that its not a video game, but what about DnD or Magik the Gathering? You can't go wrong with the originals. Also, how do you feel about MMORPGs? You know like WoW or Everquest? i love them, nothing like going on adventures! (wow, im one of those girls, huh?) Oh well nothing like awesome games, to keep our gamer blood pumping!

This is definitely a question that I can't give one answer to! XD Out of the list of games i've played over the years i'd have to say Star Fox 64 is a good one, and of the Mega Man and Mega Man X games, any of the Castlevania games,  Yoshi's Story, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Paper Mario, DK 64, the first and second generation pokemon games, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (sorry Ocarina of Time!), Super Metroid, and Earthbound. I know this was a pretty big list but picking one single game would kill me! ^^"

Favorite childhood game for me, would be either ToeJam & Earl (genesis), Harvest Moon (obviously. Also, the original is on the SNES), Harvest Moon 64 (need I say what system?), or Harvest Moon: Back To Nature (PSX).

I could list so many more great and extremely memorable childhood games, like Banjo-Kazooie (How could I ever forget that? Pure N64 Gold right there), Dino Crises (PSX), Clock Tower (PSX, but I recommend playing the SNES Clock Tower first), Super Mario 64 was one of the most pivotal moments in my gaming history, Mario Kart (SNES and N64), Diddy Kong Racing (N64), Zombies Ate My Neighbors (no...really. Poor Steve. Also more specifically, the Genesis version), and many many more.

Gosh, threads like this are so much fun. Gets you thinking about some of the good memories... I have to thank you for making this one.

cottoncandy24 : Oh man!! That's just awful!! But yeah Earthbound is a great game. One of the greatest RPG's to come out. I really love it for its cultural humor based on America. Spyro is amazing, I use to own all the games for the PS1 but I have no idea where they are for whatever reason...

As for Mega Man, I highly recommend it. I will say ahead of time, it is hard so brace yourself for that. I am a HUGE Mega Man maniac. If there is one series from Mega Man I would recommend without a doubt is the Mega Man X series that started on the SNES. But hey, if you ever got any Mega Man questions feel free to ask me at anytime and i'll answer them for ya!

zerothesaint : yeah i refuse to let my mum forget just how important that games and just how much it is worth. ill take your word on it. thats another reason why i love old games. the story is always longer and the games tend to be a lot more difficult than the games that are out today. i can go and play generally any new game and beat it within 48 hours (unless its elder scrolls), but old games take at laest 2 weeks to get through most of the time. do you have facebook or something?

Definitely Pokemon Silver. First ever game, loved it. I still feel that 2nd Gen holds up to be the best. Maybe Gen 6 will prove me wrong

I don't have a easy answer to this, it really depends on the era/system of my childhood. If we are talking Arcade it would have to be Discs of Tron, Goonies, TMNT, and Star Wars. Atari 2600 would be Joust, Frogger, and Q*bert. NES was  Crystalis, Shadowgate, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Mega Man 2, and Dragon Warrior 3. Lastly, Game Boy would be Final Fantasy Adventure and Sword of Hope.

Pokémon without a doubt. It's the first game I've ever played so there is always that nostalgia feeling to it.
I didn't care back then on how to raise my Pokémon properly to get him the greatest stats as he possibly can, I would grow attached to a single Pokémon in my team and use the other only as reserve or shields Pokémon, I had no strategy back then yet somehow I managed to beat Elite 4 with a single lv.100 Octillery.

What a great subject to talk about!

Well, I had a Terminator 2 Famiclone and kept it for 10 years!! Never destroyed something!!

Anyways, I lived with Mario, Double Dragon 3, Contra, TAITO Chase, Battle City, Ninja Gaiden II, Sky Destroyer and much more!

Note: I finished Double Dragon III 32x times then I finished playing on Terminator and came in the PC gaming world!

My first video game was a little something called Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. It's a game based around trains and other transport types. There would be different challenges, like deliver X amount of passengers or make company value X dollars. I started playing when I was 4, I found it at the book fair, and never really was good at it. I recently installed it onto my new laptop and found a few, albeit dead, modding and other kinds of communities of this game. I used to always fail at this game since I never developed a track strategy other than go in a straight line, but hey, I was 4-8. I guess I'll go back to this game soon and crush the computer players.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
