Have you ever played Valve's Half-Life series?
What id the game about? Well, you are a scientist named Gordon Freeman who works in Black Mesa, a research facility, and you, eith the help of other scientists, are trying to test some ADN collected from an alien-planet named Xen. After few minutes, the test shuts down because of an error and aliens from Xen invade Black Mesa.
You must escape and drive to Lambda Core to enter in the portal to Xen to stop the invasion.
Half-Life 2 is more realistic but I won't tell you the story, you must play it! Half-Life 2 has 3 episodes but the third episode is under construction and will be launched in October.

Anyways, play it! It's a very cool FPS game that must be played.

Sorinkun : Half-Life 2 is an awesome game. One of the reasons being the gravity gun. You can get to places by making a ladder with boxes, barrels or pretty much anything you can find. Also love killing crab heads with the crowbar. Hated the things on the ceilings that pull you up, kept blowing myself up with the explosive barrels.

I have played both Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2. I enjoyed the first installment significantly more due to the setting, atmosphere, and level design. They are both great games, but Half-Life will always be my favorite for these reasons.

I have played every single Half life game out there (I think). I must have played through Half Life 2 alone 3 times at least. I am hardly playing any games these days, but in my "earlier years" I played too many games and not many has gripped me like Half Life 2 has. I really hope that Valve get their act together and make a proper 3rd one.

I heard that Valve, after releasing Half Life 2 episode 3, will stop creating more episodes for Half Life 2! But they didn't say that Valve won't create a Half Life 3!!!

If there's one thing that really ticked me off about Half Life, and just about any game which was based off the same engine, it's that SO many of the areas required "crouch jumping" which my friend can confirm is my single greatest weakness.

In so many cases I wish the game had implemented a means of grabbing onto edges and vaulting over railings, preferably in a way which would not ravage my pinkie finger and inflict carpal tunnel syndrome by constantly forcing the use of the control key.

Other than that I found it enjoyable, though there were some pretty tough parts.

By far the most fun I had was playing a MP co-op mod for Half-Life which let you go through all the missions with your buddies.
