So the new random competition of mine is to beat pokemon yellow with only a pikachu even as hard as it is. But there is some rules to it. 1st you do need to record a video of you facing each gym leader and elite 4 and show party at least once in that battle to show pikachu is the primary battling pokemon(meaning you can have hm slaves but they can't pass level 25 since I believe you can get all those needed for HMs before that level.) and secondly you must add your username to the description of the video so I know you don't try to cheat.
Rewards 1st person to complete 15k Viz
2nd 7.5k
3rd 2.5
Which means I am giving 25k Viz away from this.

New rule that I brought up in 2nd post I made here I am allowing 1 pokemon to fight with you up till level 25 anymore than that is not allowed.
Note please post if you are going to do this so I know.

Edit I may raise the rewards later but unsure.

Hehe, I bet I could pull this off. I used to always do things like overpowering the starter, leaving the others as slaves.

But I have a bit of questions.

1. Do we only have to record the fights against gym leaders and E4? Or the whole game?
2. Can our slaves fight too as long as they don't get over level 25?
3. Can we use glitch Pokemon if they don't reach 25? (example: mew)

Seems simple enough, This will be my first solo run and play of yellow. I have completed Red and Blue so it won't be too hard. I think I will struggle on the first 3 gyms! 

This should be fun!

2 how about this 1 max battle with you till it reaches level 25 does that sound like making the game a bit easier? (more than 1 would make brock too easy..

Rock is tough, my pikachu is level 13 so far. Not quite high enough to defeat brock!

So, I'll just let one battle with me until it reaches 25 if it's a slave. When it reaches 25, it's not a party member, just a slave.

dlscowby22 : Use mednafan emulator and I believe f8 starts the recording and then press it again to stop then upload to vizzed youtube channel or you can use your own recording software and upload it to your own youtube channel.

not to bother you too much again, but on the pokemon yellow page, i do not see the mednafen emulator. is it possible for you or someone to link it to me?

Edit:  also, one more thing i would like to clarify is that, you did say another pokemon can fight with us untill level 25. however, can these pokemon be used to defeat gym leaders? For instance, brock. can i use a different pokemon to defeat brock? or even to weaken his pokemon and deliver the killing blow with pikachu? what exactly are the rules here? i found a way to make videos and upload to youtube, but i need this info straightened out before i continue farther.
Brock is the only gym leader i am really concerned about.

You should really ask the owners of the Competition forum if you can move this thread over there since it would be a better fit there. Doesn't really fit here. Besides, you might get more traffic that way. Just a suggestion anyways.

I'm game to try this out. For quick clarification, by reaching level 25 for the assistant pokemon, do you mean when Pikachu gets to level 25 or when the other pokemon gets to 25?
